Earlier this month, we gave you an exclusive first look at the Xiaomi 15 Pro, and now, Xiaomi is gearing up for the official unveiling later this month. Rumor has it, they might even tease the much-anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra at the event. But ahead of all that, we’ve got something even better. Teaming up with Yogesh Brar, we’re excited to bring you the very first look at the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, complete with fresh renders that spill the beans on its design and key details.
While the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro are set to launch by the end of October, the Ultra is slated to follow in February next year. And if these renders are anything to go by, the design is pretty wild. Before we get into the details, internally Xiaomi is banking big on the upcoming Ultra flagship smartphone promising big hardware and software gains, with a particular focus on improving the HDR performance.
Coming to the design, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra sports a bold circular camera module on the back, housing four lenses, and yes, the Leica branding is front and center in that module, making a statement on the top left.
The top right of the circle houses the periscope module. This periscope zoom lens is a major upgrade, boasting a 200 MP resolution, a 4.3x optical zoom, and an f/2.6 aperture. It’ll be using the Samsung ISOCELL HP9 1/1.4” image sensor.
The primary lens will be a 50 MP Sony sensor, alongside the other two lenses that are arranged horizontally at the bottom of the circular camera module.
The other two lenses include the 50 MP ultra-wide camera and the 50 MP 2x telephoto zoom lens. Additionally, we can expect a 32 MP selfie camera on the front. The two flash LEDs are arranged horizontally at the top. The Xiaomi logo has been placed vertically at the bottom left.
