Vivo Y53i With Snapdragon 425 and Face Unlock Launched: Price, Specifications, and Features

Vivo added a new budget smartphone, the Y53i, to its portfolio. The entry-level phone is touted to come with features like Face Access, Ultra HD Camera technology, and a quad-core processor. You may say it is a new variant of Vivo Y53 that was launched a year ago with pretty much similar specifications.

Vivo Y53i India Price and Availability

The Vivo Y53i is available for sale in Crown Gold and Matte Black color options at all offline stores in the country. It will cost Rs. 7,990, which is Rs. 2000 lower than the price of Vivo Y53. The phone will be up against the likes of Redmi 5 and Infinix Hot S3, which boast slightly superior specifications.

Vivo Y53i Features

There is nothing flashy in the Vivo Y53i specification sheet. It sports a 5-inch (540×960 pixels) qHD IPS display, employs a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM, and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based FunTouch OS.

For photography, the Vivo Y53i flaunts an 8-megapixel with an LED flash on the rear and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with a screen flash on the front. The sensors are backed by Ultra-HD technology which Vivo claims shoot several consecutive images and combines them to render clear and detailed photos with a resolution of up to 32MP.

The phone is aided by 2500mAh battery and offers 16GB onboard storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The only biometrics in the Vivo Y53i include Face Access that scans the facial features of the users and unlocks the device instantly.

Connectivity option on the same include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port.
