The Vivo X70 series was well-received in India after its launch. Cut to now, Vivo is gearing up for its next flagship series launch aka the Vivo X80 series in China. Turns out a report citing industry insiders states that the Vivo X80 series will make it to Indian shores just after its Chinese launch. The upcoming flagship series comprises three models of which, the two Pro variants are likely to make it to India while the Vivo X80 might not make it.

Vivo X80 Series – What To Expect

According to a report, Vivo is expected to launch Vivo X80 Series in April in India after its Chinese launch. Just like last year, Vivo is likely to roll out Vivo X80 Pro and X80 Pro Plus in India whereas the standard or vanilla model will remain out of reach.

Vivo X80 Pro and X80 Pro Plus sport UFS 3.1 storage onboard with LPDDR4X storage. There’s Dimensity 9000 SoC onboard X80 Pro while the Pro Plus will pick up the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. For context, the vanilla X80 will pack in a Dimensity 8000 SoC.

Moving on, both the devices will be using a 6.78-inch LTPO 2.0 E5 AMOLED panel where the Pro will get FHD+ while the Pro Plus will get QHD+ resolution. The non-Pro vanilla model will get a 6.56” LTPO FHD+ AMOLED panel instead. The trio will resin a high 120Hz refresh rate for that matter.

About the camera setup, Vivo V80 gets a 50MP GN5 primary, a 13MP ultrawide secondary, and a 12MP IMX663 2x optical zoom telephoto sensor. For the X80 Pro, it will likely get two 50MP JN1 sensors at the back flanked with the usual ultrawide and telephoto lens mentioned above. The V80 Pro Plus will get a 50MP+48MP+50MP+50MP rear quad-camera setup which makes it a bigwig in the camera department.

The front will be a 44MP and 50MP cam for X80 and X80 Pro/X80 Pro Plus respectively. The predecessors came with Zeiss optics on top and the X80 series is no different as Zeiss will play a vital role in its camera systems.  Finally, it is reported that the charging speed of X80 will be around 55W while the Pro variants will get 66W wired and 50W wireless charging on board.

There’s no fixed date available yet although the report does mention a tentative April month as its rollout in India followed by China at first.
