Vivo X200 Series India Launch Imminent: Teaser gets revealed

Vivo launched the X200 Series in China and Malaysia last week. Now, the smartphone brand is bringing the successor to the X100 Series to India soon. The Vivo X200 Series includes three smartphones- Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro, and Vivo X200 Pro Mini. Although the company hasn’t revealed the exact launch date of the X200 Series in India, some teasers have been shared that confirm an imminent launch.

The Vivo X200 Series is equipped with a MediaTek chipset, a high-end camera setup, and a larger battery. Let us have a look at what we know about the Vivo X200 Series launch in India so far.

Vivo X200 Series: India Launch teased

Vivo has shared a teaser of the X200 Series on its official handle on X about the upcoming series. The teaser has the tagline “Coming soon”. Vivo has also shared the microsite which confirms that the Vivo X200 Series will include not three but only two devices in India. The Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro will come to India, while the company is skipping the Vivo X200 mini version.

The microsite also reveals some key specs of both models which confirms the Dimensity 9400 chipset. The X200 Pro will be the first to feature a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto sensor.

While the launch date hasn’t been announced yet, some reports claim it will come to India at the end of November or early December 2024.

Vivo X200 Series: Specs

Since the Vivo X200 Series has already launched globally, we do have an idea about the specs of the X200 series smartphones.

The Vivo X200 boasts a 6.67-inch quad-curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate while the X200 Pro flaunts a 6.78-inch screen with a 120Hz adaptive dynamic refresh rate. Both the smartphones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset which is an upgrade over the last year’s Dimensity 9300 SoC. The smartphones will also include a Vivo V3+ imaging chipset.

In terms of camera, the Vivo X200 comes with a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto sensor at the back. Talking about the Pro version, features a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP Zeiss APO telephoto camera at the back. At the front will be a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Under the hood, Vivo X200 packs a 5800mAh battery while the Vivo X200 Pro packs a 6000mAh powerhouse. Both get a 90W wired fast charging support as well. The smartphones are IP68 and IP69 rated and come with wireless charging support as well.

Vivo X200 Series: India pricing (expected)

The Vivo X200 Series was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 4299 which is around Rs. 50,000 for the 12GB RAM+256GB storage version. The Vivo X200 is expected to arrive in India at a price range of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000 while the Vivo X200 will come at a price range of Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 80,000. The Vivo X200 will come in Cosmos Black, Natural Green, and Titanium Grey colors.
