Earlier this year, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer and consumer electronics giant Vivo released the X100 and X100 Pro (review) in India, two flagship smartphones that offer top-tier specifications, including a powerful processor, beastly cameras, and a long-lasting battery. While these phones came out in the company’s native market in November 2023, they arrived in India this January. Now, the company seems to be gearing up to launch the Vivo X100S, yet another flagship with top-of-the-line specifications. A reliable tipster has recently revealed some information about the purported smartphone.
Vivo X100s: Leaked Details Related To Screen, Processor, And Battery
According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X100s will have a 1.5K display, similar to its predecessor, which has a 6.78-inch screen. Under the hood, the smartphone could feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC (4nm), which competes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC (4nm). This is the same processor on the company’s Vivo X100, which arrived earlier this year.
The tipster also provides an insight related to the battery on the Vivo X100s. Previously, the handset’s battery was tipped to be 5,000 mAh. Now, the tipster has claimed it will support 100W wired charging, which is quite fast but not enough to beat the Vivo X100’s 120W wired charging. The proposed smartphone is said to arrive in four finishes, including Titanium, green, black, and white.
Previously, The Phone Was Tipped To Feature Dimensity 9300+ SoC
The same tipster has claimed that the Vivo X100s could come with the Dimensity 9300+ SOC. This could be a slightly overclocked version of the regular Dimensity 9300 SoC, which comes with a 3.25GHz prime core, three 2.85GHz performance cores, and four 2.0GHz efficiency cores. Given that the Vivo 90s from last year ran on the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, the Dimensity 9300+ SoC makes more sense for the upcoming Vivo X100s. However, we can’t confirm which chipset the smartphone will ship with.
This month, Vivo is about to launch the Vivo X Fold 3 (first foldable with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC) and the Vivo Pad 3 in its native market. Hence, there’s a good chance that the company could unveil the Vivo X100s along with these devices as well. However, readers should note that the company hasn’t confirmed neither announced any of these details.
