Vivo Watch 2 first look revealed; here’s how it looks

Vivo has confirmed that it will have a product launch event on December 22 wherein it will showcase its much-awaited smartphone Vivo S12 and the latest smartwatch Vivo Watch 2. Ahead of the official launch, Vivo has shared a teaser for the Vivo Watch 2 which looks at its design in detail. [हिंदी में पढ़ें]

The Vivo Watch 2 was shown in 2 live shots on the Company’s official Weibo account. They have also confirmed that the wearable will have a secondary co-processor to extent battery life.

The teaser confirmed that Watch 2 will last up to 7 days of smartphone independent usage with mobile date, calling and sports/health trackers activated. It will last for up to 14 days when paired with a smartphone. Here are some snippets from the teaser shown by Vivo.

According to reports, Vivo Watch 2 will bring a round OLED display and be available in 2 color variants- Black and Silver and 2 sizes- 42mm and 46mm. The watch has received simplistic design elements with two buttons on the side to control. Multiple band options are also expected. The watch is said to have a heart rate tracker, GPS, a step counter, 515mAh battery among other upgrades over its predecessor Vivo Watch which is available for Rs. 16,990 in India.

Vivo Watch 2 will have e-SIM based SMS function?

We had earlier reported about Vivo Watch 2 being the first smartwatch from Vivo to have an e-SIM based SMS functionality. Now, this has also been teased in the press conference as the company indicated a partnership with 3 Big Telecom Giants in China- China Telecom, China Unicorn, and China Mobile. e-SIM functionality means that the watch will be able to enable communication via SMS without having to be paired with a partner device via Bluetooth, internet, or Wi-Fi. The 3 telecom giants will enable this feature.

More updates are expected on 22 December when the watch gets officially launched.
