Tech giant Vivo has started sending out media invites for the launch of the Vivo V29e smartphone in the country. Vivo has revealed the official launch date for this camera-focused mid-premium offering that has a slim and artistic design. A dedicated microsite has also been launched for the Vivo V29e that reveals some of the key specs of the device.
Vivo V29e: Launch Date
Vivo India took to Twitter to announce that the Vivo V29e will launch in India on the 28th of August at 12 PM IST. The event will be livestreaming on Vivo India’s YouTube Channel and the smartphone will go on sale via Flipkart, vivo.com, and offline outlets.
Announcing the news, Vivo wrote- “Get ready to be amazed by a design masterpiece and seize delightful moments with the all-new Vivo V29e smartphone. Mark your calendars to witness the stunning new Vivo V29e on August 28, 2023 at 12 Noon.”
Vivo V29e is the same device that is being teased by Star Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli who is the face of the brand.
Vivo V29e: Expected Price
Vivo has also hinted at the possible pricing of the Vivo V29e. Vivo V29e will lie somewhere between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000. 2 storage variants are expected- 8GB RAM+128GB storage and 8GB RAM+256GB storage.
Vivo V29e: Design
Vivo V29e has a slim design with a curved display. The device looks similar to Moto Edge 40 and has a thickness of 7.57mm.
Vivo has also revealed the color options for V29e. The Vivo V29e Artistic Red Edition has a color-changing glass design that allows the shade to change from red to black. This happens when the rear panel gets exposed to UV lights. The other shade is artistic blue.
Vivo V29e: Camera Specs
The official Vivo V29e page confirms that the phone will have a 50MP selfie camera and a 64MP primary rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization. There is one more camera at the back, which might be a macro sensor. The brand claims that the selfie camera supports “Eye Auto Focus” for better focus. The Night Portrait’s abilities are being boasted about as well.
Vivo V29e: Expected Specs
The Vivo V29e is expected to have a 6.73-inch FHD+ curved screen display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 480 or 480+ 5G chipset and runs Android 13 based Funtouch OS 13.
The smartphone is 7.5mm thick and weighs 180.5 grams. Under the hood will be a 4600mAh battery with wired fast charging support.
Other Upcoming Mid-Premium Smartphones
Not just Vivo, other brands are also gearing up to launch their mid-premium smartphones in the upcoming days. Chinese maker Honor is making a comeback to the Indian market under the leadership of Madhav Sheth and launch the Honor X50 series soon.
iQOO will also iQOO Z7 Pro on August 31 while Realme will launch two Realme 11 series smartphones on 23rd August.
