Vivo V29, Vivo V29 Pro to arrive in India on 4th October

Tech giant Vivo has started teasing the launch of its next Vivo V Series. The company launched the first device in the Vivo V29 Series last month when it announced the Vivo V29e smartphone that comes with an artistic design. Now, the teaser for two more members of the Vivo V29 Series in India has gone live with Vivo confirming the launch date to be the 4th of October. Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G will launch on October 4.

Vivo V29 Series Teaser

The teaser highlights the phone’s curved screen, Aura Light, and the rear design. It confirms that this is the first phone to use 3D Particle Technology in India. Vivo has also confirmed Himalayan Blue, Majestic Red, and Space Black shades for Vivo V29. The smartphones will have a color-changing glass for the majestic red edition and 3D particle technology will be available in Himalayan Blue shade.

Vivo V29 5G: Specs

The Vivo V29 5G will sport a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by Snapdragon 778G chipset with Adreno 642L GPU, 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage. The smartphone will run Android 13 with FunTouch OS 13 and support dual SIM (nano+ nano).

In terms of camera optics, the Vivo V29 5G will have a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP camera with Aura light. At the front will be a 50MP selfie camera. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor as well along with a USB Type-C port, stereo speakers and, Hi-Res audio. Under the hood will be a 4600mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G Volte, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, and NFC. The Vivo V29 5G weighs 186 grams and its dimensions are 164.18×74.37×7.46mm.

Vivo V29 5G: Price

The Vivo V29 was launched in Malaysia earlier today starting at RM 1899 (USD Rs. 33,580 approx.), so we can expect it to be priced in India along the same lines.

Vivo V29 Pro: Details

Vivo has also confirmed that the Vivo V29 Pro will use the first ever 2x pro portrait camera with a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor for portraits flawless edge detection and stunning background bokeh. The Pro Model will weigh 188 grams.

Since the Vivo S17 was launched as the Vivo V29 for global markets, the Vivo S17 Pro will come as the Vivo V29 Pro. The display, design, front camera, and battery specs will be the same but the Pro model will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC and feature a 50MP rear camera with Sony IMX766V sensor and 12MP 2x telephoto portrait camera.
