Diwali fever is escalating, and Vivo sets the ball rolling with the launch of three new ‘Y series’ smartphones – Vivo Y15S, Y31 and Y27L – ranging between 6000 INR and 12,980 INR.
The Vivo Y27L lies on the top rung of the Y series ladder, and focuses on design and aesthetic appeal, besides what lies under the hood. The handset supports 4G LTE connectivity, elegant and ergonomic design, but is still stuck on Android KitKat based rom.
The Vivo Y31 is another 4G LTE phone which is distinguished by the presence of Hi-Fi chipset DAC AK4375, to please audiophiles. Vivo hasn’t specified the exact price of this variant, but we can safely assume that it will lie somewhere in the middle, close to 10K mark.
The Vivo Y15S excludes 4G, but includes software tricks like Smart Wake and Super Screenshots in order to add some value to budget smartphone experience. It will be available for 6,000 INR. Take a look at complete specifications below.

Food for thought..
Most Chinese manufacturers entering India are embracing the convenient online route, which offers quick exposure without any required infrastructure. Vivo on the other hands has opted for the offline route, which will require more effort and investment, but might be more productive in long run, especially in market like India, where offline market is huge and governed by different set of rules. With all Y series smartphones, Vivo is also offering extended one year warranty this festive season (total 2 years).
