November 2023 was a relatively slow month in terms of smartphone launches. The only highlights were the launch of the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered device and flagships like the Pixel 8 Series and affordable Lava Blaze Pro going official. However, December 2023 is packed with a long lineup of new smartphone releases. This month will see the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered device launching in India along with devices like Honor 100, Realme GT 5 Pro, Poco F6, and more. Let us have a look at the major launches planned for December 2023.
Smartphones launching in December 2023
1. iQOO 12 5G
Launch date- 12 December 2023
iQOO 12 Series has already been launched in China and it is the first ever to pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The series includes iQOO 12 5G and iQOO 12 Pro 5G, both flagship devices. The base iQOO 12 5G model is slated to launch in India on December 12.
iQOO 12 5G will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with HDR10+ and 144Hz refresh rate. The display will offer 3000 nits brightness. The premium smartphone will have up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The base as well as Pro models have the same rear camera specs. iQOO 12 has a triple camera setup at the back. It includes a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and 64MP telephoto lens. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera. The device packs a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 120W fast charging and runs Android 14 OS-based Origin OS 4.
2. OnePlus 12
Launch date- 4 December 2023
OnePlus is all set to launch its next flagship OnePlus 12 5G this month. OnePlus President Li Jeo Louis has announced the same via the Weibo platform. In India, the OnePlus 12 will launch in January or February 2024.
Some specs have been confirmed by OnePlus. These include a 64MP periscope camera with OmniVision OV64B sensor and a primary 50MP camera with Sony LYT 808 sensor. Just like iQOO 12, the OnePlus 12 will also be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 16GB RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.
OnePlus 12 has been in the news for its new display as well. It will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED 2L LTPO panel with ProXDR and 2600 nits brightness. The display will have DisplayMate A+ certification and was presented by OnePlus at the BOE event recently. OnePlus 12 packs a 5000mAh battery with 150W wired fast charging.

3. Realme GT 5 Pro
Launch date- 7 December 2023
Realme GT 5 Pro is expected to launch in China on 7 December 2023. It will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with up to 24GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone is said to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of camera, Realme GT 5 Pro will have a new Sony LYT 808 sensor along with an 8MP OmniVision OV0810 ultrawide lens and telephoto lens. It will run Android 14-based Realme UI 5 and pack a 5400mAh battery with 100W charging.
4. Poco X6 Neo
Launch date- December 2023 (tentative)
Poco X6 Neo has been seen online many times. In India, it is expected to be a rebrand of Xiaomi 13R Pro. Reliable tipster Kacper Skrzypek has also claimed that the Poco X6 Neo might launch in India soon as a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13R Pro. This will be the beginning of Poco’s Neo moniker. Poco X6 Neo will feature either a 50MP or 108MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
Other than that, the Poco X6 Neo might sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. According to reports, the Poco X6 Neo will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will run Android 13-based MIUI and pack a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging.
5. Poco X6 Pro
Launch date- December 2023 (tentative)
Apart from the Poco X6 Neo series, the Poco X6 Pro is also expected to launch soon. The smartphone has been spotted on the IMEI database. It is expected to launch in India soon and will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 7s GEN 2 chipset with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. In terms of battery, there will be a 5100mAh powerhouse with 67W wired fast charging. The camera is said to be the main highlight as it will sport a 200MP main lens.
6. Honor 100
Launch date- December end (tentative)
Honor 100 series launched in China last week and is now gearing up for Global launch soon. The successor to Honor 90, Honor 100 might launch in India and globally in the coming weeks. Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro come with Full HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. There will also be a 5000mAh battery. While the Honor 100 will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, the Pro model will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
In terms of camera, both smartphones will have a 50MP primary sensor, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor but Honor 100 Pro will have a 32MP telephoto lens which doesn’t come in the base model. In the Pro model, there will be two selfie cameras 50MP Sony IMX816 sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphones run on Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 OS. Both devices will pack a 5000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. The Pro model has wireless charging support as well.
7. Oppo Reno 11 Series
Launch date- December 2023
The Oppo Reno 11 series includes 2 smartphones- the Oppo Reno 11 5G and the Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G. It was recently launched in China and might launch globally in December 2023. Recently, Reno 11 Pro was seen on the TDRA certification website with model number CPH2607. Reno 11 Pro will have a 6.74-inch FHD+ Curved OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits brightness. It will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Reno 11 Pro will run Android 14 Pro and feature a triple camera setup at the back like maximum smartphones. The back camera setup will include a 50MP main, 8MP ultrawide, and 32MP portrait lens. For selfies and video calling, there will be a 32MP sensor at the front. Reno 11 will pack a 4700mAh while Reno 11 Pro will pack a 4800mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging.
8. Redmi K70/Poco F6
Launch date- December 2023
Redmi K70 Series is launching in China on 29th November. The series will include 3 smartphones- Redmi K70, Redmi K70E, and Redmi K70 Pro. The base model, Redmi K70 might launch in India in December as Poco F6. The device was recently seen on Geekbench which revealed it will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset. This is a new processor that is 20% better than its predecessor. There will be 16GB RAM and 256GB storage as well.
The smartphone will run Android 14 OS and pack a 5000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. Camera specs are still unknown.
