Tata Motors is making waves in the Indian automotive market with the highly-anticipated launch of the 2023 Nexon, starting at an attractive price point of Rs. 8.1 lakh. This marks the second facelift for the Nexon, a testament to Tata’s commitment to keeping their offerings fresh and exciting. But that’s not all – in a double treat for car enthusiasts, Tata is also unveiling the Nexon.ev facelift today. Both the Nexon facelift and Nexon.ev facelift promise not only refreshed designs but also a new trim lineup reminiscent of the popular Punch model, adding even more versatility to this already impressive range of vehicles.

Tata Nexon EV Facelift Specifications and Powertrain

In terms of interior design, the Nexon facelift maintains a consistent overall look with the standard model. However, there are some distinctive touches specific to certain variants, such as the lighter white and grey upholstery. Additionally, the top-tier variants feature a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen display. On the electric Nexon, you’ll find a full-digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster with customizable dial views and integrated maps, enhancing the futuristic feel of the EV.

Regarding the electric motors, both the medium-range (MR) and long-range (LR) variants now deliver identical power outputs of 127 bhp, although the torque has slightly decreased to 215 Nm. In comparison, the previous MR (formerly Nexon EV Prime) produced 245 Nm of torque, while the LR (formerly Nexon EV Max) generated 250 Nm.

On a positive note, the range has seen significant improvements, with the MR variant now offering an impressive claimed range of 325 km on a full charge, while the LR variant extends that range to 465 km. These figures represent a substantial increase from the previous ratings of 312 km and 437 km, respectively, as per ARAI measurements.

Tata Nexon EV Facelift Features

When it comes to features, the Nexon EV impressively combines technology and convenience, offering auto headlamps and wipers, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and advanced connected car technology with over-the-air updates. It also integrates seamlessly with Alexa and Google voice assistants, supports wireless smartphone connectivity, features an air purifier, a 360-degree camera system, a blind spot monitor, front parking sensors, and tire pressure monitoring. Furthermore, it boasts a premium JBL sound system complete with a subwoofer. Safety is a top priority, with standard inclusions like 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, and traction control for peace of mind on the road.
