Qualcomm Technologies, through its Snapdragon brand, is strengthening its grip on the automotive industry with connected, intelligent, and AI-enhanced solutions. And if you are somebody who is fortunate to come across my work that is right up my alley. In a massive showcase of not only Snapdragon’s technology, but also a showcase of the deep penetration Snapdragon already has in the automotive space, the brand held the Snapdragon Auto Day event in Delhi today. During the event, we got an exclusive look at what is coming from Snapdragon in the automotive space and what is already available. Alongside that, we also got a look at musician Will.I.am’s FYI.ai, which is an AI-enhanced creative platform.
We also got to take a look at how Snapdragon has partnered with auto brands like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, BMW, TVS, and more. At the event, we also got hands-on experience on some very interesting car-related technology so let me take you through everything that we saw at the Snapdragon Auto Day.
BMW announced that in its lineup of cars in 2026, the cars will come with Snapdragon chips that will power integrated driving, parking, in-cabin monitoring, and more in BMW cars. Apart from BMW, Qualcomm Snapdragon showcased its strengthened collaborations with Indian automakers like Mahindra and Maruti Suzuki on connected car technologies.
Mahindra, for example, is using Snapdragon Cockpit and Auto Connectivity to enhance the in-cabin experience in its newer EVs and ICE cars. Qualcomm also showcased its collaboration with Spark Minda on smart cockpit solutions for enhanced digital interfaces.
Qualcomm technologies under the Snapdragon brand are also powering a lot of technologies in the two-wheeler space. The Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions powering Hero MotorCorp’s two two-wheelers were also showcased. This new solution is said to enhance the ride connectivity and intelligence on Hero two-wheelers. UltraViolet, the electric sports bike brand from India also showcased its Snapdragon-powered integrated connectivity on the bikes as well as Royal Enfield with its connected cluster systems, also powered by Snapdragon.
We also got hands-on with some of the tech that is being used in these cars – all powered by Snapdragon. From infotainment displays to third-party ADAS systems and new-age in-car UI – the Snapdragon Auto Day was a galore for tech and auto enthusiasts like myself. Qualcomm, with its Snapdragon automotive platforms, powers over 350 million (35 crore) vehicles worldwide, a number that is definitely going to increase as vehicles become more tech-friendly.
