Gionee marked its MWC 2017 presence with announcements of two new smartphones – the A1 and A1 Plus. Being marketed with “super selfie, super battery” tagline, the new A1 and A1 Plus will be available starting March And April, respectively.
The Gionee A1 Plus is the more premium one of the two. It boasts of a 6-inch FHD IPS display, that claims to be 600-nits bright. Once again, Gionee has relied on MediaTek Chipset( the power efficient Helio P25 to be precise) for all the heavy lifting. The phone gets 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage under the hood.

For the A1 Plus, Gionee has roped-in a large size 20-megapixel front facing camera with wide f/2.0 aperture to lure in selfie lovers. On the other hands, there is a 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera setup assisted by a two in one flash and IR Remote. The fingerprint sensor is integrated with the front home button.
It gets a 4550mAh battery which comes with 18W Ultra-fast Charger. As per the company claim, it takes 120 minutes to go 0 to 100 percent. The phone comes running on Android 7.0 OS of course with an added layer of Gionee’s Amigo UI customization.

The Gionee A1, on the other hand, features a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based Amigo OS. Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.8GHz Helio P10 mated to 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
In optics, the phone flaunts a 13MP rear camera supported by LED flash and PDAF. Up front, there is a mammoth 16MP camera for clicking selfies.Other than that, it includes 4010mAh battery with fast charging facility and a front-mounted fingerprint sensor.
