A few days ago, we reported about how Samsung might be making a huge change to its Galaxy S-Series next year. This included the brand’s plans to launch only the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, thus skipping the middle member of the family. However, the latest leaks have confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Plus variant is very much in the works and won’t be discontinued, at least not in 2025.

Samsung Galaxy S25+ is launching after all?

A few days ago, a report by Android Headlines claimed that only two models of the Galaxy S25 Series were spotted on the IMEI database: the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra. This led to presumptions that Samsung might be dropping the Plus model due to fewer sales or the high cost of production. However, a recent report by GizmoChina confirms that the Galaxy S25+ smartphone has been spotted on the GSMA database, proving it is very much a part of Samsung’s launch plans for 2025.

Last year, all three models of the Galaxy S24 Series were added to the IMEI database in July itself, so when this didn’t happen this time, it led to speculations about the brand dropping the Galaxy S25+. Now, since all three are seen on the GSMA database, it is confirmed that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in 2025. Also, the Galaxy S25+ will be available worldwide. The Galaxy S25+ is now also spotted on the IMEI database with model number SM-S936U.
Earlier SamMobile had also confirmed that Samsung doesn’t have any plans to drop the Plus member next year.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is tipped to be 8.4mm thick and features a 200MP main camera. Under the hood might be a 5500mAh battery with 65W wired and 25W wireless charging.
