TL; DR
- The Galaxy S27 Pro will reportedly carry a 6.47-inch screen, filling the gap between the S27 and S27+.
- Samsung’s S27 lineup is expanding to four models, with the Pro being an entirely new addition.
- The S27 Pro will reportedly match the Ultra on specs, minus the S Pen, large battery, and screen size.
Back in April, we heard about Samsung’s alleged plans to expand the Galaxy S27 lineup beyond three devices, with an all-new model called the Galaxy S27 Pro. However, concrete details about it were scarce at the time.

Galaxy S27 Pro Could Sit Between The S27 And S27 Plus
Now, the same source (ETNews) has returned with a detail that isn’t worth skipping: the alleged Galaxy S27 Pro could feature a 6.47-inch display. This would make it sit between the vanilla Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27 Plus. For those catching up, the Galaxy S26 (review) sports a 6.3-inch screen, while the S26 Plus (review) comes with a 6.7-inch screen.

However, this is based on the assumption that both the Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27 Plus will retain their screen sizes. Anyway, building on the detail, the Galaxy S27 Pro will be a tad bigger than the baseline handset, but noticeably smaller than the Plus variant.
Several reports claim that the S27 Pro, if such a device exists, could be a shrunk-down version of the Ultra. In fact, it could share almost all its specifications with the Galaxy S27 Ultra, including the chipset, cameras, and software.

S27 Pro Could Be The iPhone Pro To Samsung’s Ultra
What the S27 Pro won’t share with the S27 Ultra could be the display size and battery capacity (since it has a smaller footprint). Furthermore, it might ship with an S-Pen as well. For buyers who want Ultra-grade hardware but don’t want the Ultra’s large footprint or its stylus-centric identity, the S27 Pro could be a serious alternative.

The most prominent selling point, according to me, could be the quad-camera setup in a phone that’s much smaller, lighter, and easy to carry around. In more ways than one, the Galaxy S27 Pro could be the iPhone Pro (and not Pro Max) of Samsung’s lineup.
More details about the device should surface in the near future.
