Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26th in South Korea. The event is expected to introduce a range of new products, including the Galaxy Watch 6 series and Tab S9 series, enhancing the company’s ecosystem offerings. Ahead of the launch, a recent leak has shed light on the India prices for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
According to a recent tweet from tipster Paras Guglani, Samsung is likely to maintain pricing similar to their predecessors for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is projected to have a starting price of Rs 1,50,000, and customers may enjoy a discount of Rs 6,500 through select bank cards. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be priced at Rs 1,00,000, with the possibility of an additional bank discount of Rs 5,000, as indicated in the screenshot shared in the tweet.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is anticipated to feature a 7.6-inch 120Hz internal display and a 6.2-inch 120Hz outer display. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could boast a 3.4-inch cover display and a 6.7-inch 120Hz interior display. Both phones are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 offering 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 providing 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.
Camera-wise, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to sport a triple camera setup of 50MP + 12MP + 12MP, while the Z Flip 5 will come with a dual-camera setup of 12MP + 12MP. For selfies, both phones are likely to house a 10MP front camera. Running on Android 13-based OneUI 5.1, both foldables will also feature IPX8 water-resistant rating and a refined, no-gap hinge design.
Pre-orders for the new devices are set to commence on July 27th in India. Samsung had previously opened a pre-reserve portal for these smartphones online and offline. With incremental upgrades for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and a larger cover screen for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung is aiming to compete with rivals such as OPPO Find N2 Flip and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra in the foldable market.
