Samsung just had its swashbuckling event called Galaxy Unpacked, wherein it unfurled the cutting edge foldables — the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Both of these are refinements over the predecessors in terms of design elements and internal specs. For instance, they both boast the Snapdragon 888 chip, IPX8 dust and water resistance, high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, S-Pen support, and more. They both have their own unique offerings like an under-panel selfie camera on the Z Fold 3.

Now, besides the phones, we also witnessed the global debut of the Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Watch 4 series. We have a separate article for the same.

Let’s cover the respective details of the two foldables in detail now —

Price and Availability

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 price starts at $1799.99 (~₹1,33,947.43) for the 256GB model and $1899 (~₹1,41,017.18) for the 512GB variant.
  • The Z Flip 3 on the other hand carries a starting price tag of $999.99 (~₹74,414.91) for the 128GB model and the higher 256GB edition comes at $1109 (~₹82,378.35).

The Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 will be available for pre-order beginning August 11, and they will launch on August 27 starting with select markets, including the U.S., Europe, and Korea. Users that pre-order Z Fold3 or Z Flip3 will get a year of Samsung Care+24 protection, our premium support service. Users’ phones will be covered from accidental damage, including screen replacement, water damage, and back cover replacement.

Samsung had already offered folks who pre-reserved these Galaxy devices with a ‘Next Galaxy VIP Pass’ which entitles them to a SmartTag worth INR 2699 for free. The token amount of INR 2000 will be deducted from the device price when the customer pre-books the device later.
