Sleep tracking is one of the most vital health monitoring data that you get from your smartwatch. Your sleep data tells a lot about your overall mental and physical well-being. If you have a Galaxy Watch that’s not recording your sleep, then you are not alone. Many users have reported issues with sleep tracking on their watches.
If you are also one of those users, then you are in the right place. In this article, we’ll delve into how you can resolve the sleep tracking issue with your Galaxy Watch, ensuring you enjoy a restful sleep going forward.
Prerequisite
Before we get started with troubleshooting, here are a few things that you need to keep in mind when trying to track your sleep using the Galaxy Watch.
- Clean your watch and wrist
Ensure that the BioActive sensor on the bottom surface of your watch is not blocked by dust or sweat. Clean it gently with a soft cloth.
2. Charge your watch before sleep: Make sure your watch has ample charge before you go to sleep to prevent it from shutting down mid-sleep.
3. Try wearing the watch differently
Try wearing the watch on a different wrist or higher up your sleeve to see if it improves the accuracy of the sleep tracking.

Restarting your watch can help fix lingering issues that might have been caused due to a recent update to the Samsung Health app or your watch itself. Here’s how to do it.

I tried all of these and watch 7 is still the same poor sleep tracker as y watch 4 was. I have two other sleep apps that work very well. My sleep number bed app and the sleep as android app. Both of these apps pretty much track each other and sleep consistent sleep data. Sadly I can share the sleep as android app data with samsung health and it displays in samsung health but doesn't integrate into the app to support other parts of the app. I keep hoping to find a way to make samsung sleep tracking work
