Samsung has quietly launched two new tablets in India, the Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+. These take after the popular Galaxy Tab A8 lineup and are available on Amazon at the moment. The tablets offer entry-level specifications at an affordable price, making them an excellent option for students and professionals who want a handy device for attending video calls, watching movies/web shows, and browsing the internet. Here’s everything one needs to know about the new Samsung tablets.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Specifications

Out of the box, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 comes with an 8.7-inch LCD WQXGA screen (179 pixels per inch) that supports 60Hz refresh rate. Users also get a dual-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos. Under the hood, the tablet runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, an entry-level octa-core processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Users also get the option to expand storage via a microSD card.

In the camera department, the budget tablet has an 8MP rear sensor and a 2MP front camera with a flash. Both cameras can record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. To power through a day of usage, users get a 5,100 mAh battery, which supports 15W wired charging. Connectivity options of the Galaxy Tab A9 include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Price

The budget tablet is available in three colors, including dark blue, gray, and silver. While the product’s regular price is Rs. 14,999, Amazon sells it at Rs. 12,999.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Specifications

The Galaxy Tab A9+ has an 11-inch LCD WQXGA screen (206 pixels per inch) that supports 90Hz refresh rate. There’s also a quad-speaker system for an elevated multimedia experience. Under the hood, the device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage (microSD card slot is available).

The tablet features an 8MP sensor on the rear panel, while the front panel houses a 5MP shooter, both limited to 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. Although it’s a tad odd, the Amazon listing of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ suggests it comes with the same 5,100 mAh battery as the regular version. Since the larger tablet weighs 510 grams compared to the smaller version, which weighs 366 grams, one would expect it to feature a larger battery.

Users get 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C for connectivity. Both tablets are available in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 5G variants.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ Price

The Galaxy Tab A9+ is also available in three colors, including dark blue, gray, and silver. The listed price on Amazon is Rs. 27,999. The tablet costs Rs. 20,999 (128GB) as part of the offer price.
