Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Alleged Final Specs Out – Here’s What It Is Coming With

Even as we await Samsung’s notorious Galaxy Note 7‘s to be brought out (August 23, for those unaware), news has trickled in that has exposed the specifications and features it will be coming with.

The news was outed by celebrated leakster Evan Blass, who also drew a comparison to the company’s Galaxy S8 family of devices.

The stylus-totting Note 8 is set to be out with a similar design as the aforementioned smartphones, while with a 6.3-inch (SuperAMOLED) display, it would be a tad larger than the S8+ (6.2-inch) in terms of the display size.

However, it will have comparatively more rounded corners around the screen, which makes its final dimensions stand at 162.5mmx74.6mmx8.5mm. The screen resolution, 1440x2960p, and the aspect ratio, 18.5:9, are both the same as the S-series.

The Exynos 8895 (Snapdragon 835 in the US) chipset is also a common factor, while the RAM sees an upgrade, with the Note 8 coming with a 6GB one (although, there’s also a 6GB S8+ variant also available in India).

For the optics, as we have told you before, the phone would be Samsung’s first to boast of a dual-camera unit at the back, with the latest update putting them as twin 12MP ones in a wide-angle + telephoto lens combination.

Both the lenses would be optically stabilized. But, while the wide-angle lens will have a f/1.7 aperture and dual-pixel autofocus, the telephoto one will be coming with a f/2.4 aperture and 2X optical zoom.

Up front, selfie seekers would be able to make use of an 8MP camera with f/1.7 aperture and autofocus.

The Note 8 will have a 3,300mAh battery to keep it alive, while there would also be a USB Type-C port (and Wireless charging, too) to replenish the fuel.

The phone will be available in a couple of color variants (Midnight Black and Maple Gold, followed by Orchid Grey and Deep Sea Blue), while its pricing is, obviously, expected to be in the premium range.
