Samsung Galaxy A34 & A54 Specs surface online: Exynos 1330 & Exynos 1380 chipsets go official

Tech Giant Samsung recently launched its flagship Galaxy S23 Series and is planning to launch 2 new A-Series smartphones that will be mid-rangers. The Samsung Galaxy A34 & Galaxy A54 will launch soon globally and ahead of the launch, specs, and renders have surfaced online, which have once again killed the suspense of Samsung’s actual launch day. Moreover, Samsung Exynos 1330 and Exynos 1380 chipsets have also gone official. The chipsets claim to give a faster and smoother performance.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G: Specs

Reports claim that the Galaxy A54 will sport a 6.4-inch sAMOLED FHD display with a resolution of 2340x1080p. The refresh rate will adapt itself between 60Hz and 120Hz while the smartphone will be powered by Exynos 1380 chipset. The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G will have 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage.

In terms of camera, the smartphone will have a triple-lens setup at the back with a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. There will be a 32MP front camera as well.

The device will pack a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging and have an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water. There will be an in-display fingerprint sensor for security while the connectivity options will include 5G, 4G LTE, dual SIM, NFC, OTG, Bluetooth, WiFi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G will run OneUI 5.0 based Android 13 out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy A34 5G: Specs

The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. It will feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ sAMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone will be 8mm thick and weigh 199 grams.

At the back will be a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro/boca lens. There will be a 13MP selfie camera at the front. The Galaxy A34 5G will pack a 5000mAh battery under the hood with 25W fast charging. It will run OneUI 5.0 based Android 13 out of the box and come with an IP67 rating.

Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, dual SIM, Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, OTG, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and more.

Samsung Galaxy A34 & A54: Launch date & expected price

Both smartphones are expected to launch in March at a global level. Galaxy A54 is said to be priced at around Rs. 35,000 while the Galaxy A34 5G is expected to be priced at around Rs. 44,000.

Samsung Exynos 1330 & 1380 Chipsets

Samsung has finally unveiled its new Exynos chipsets. Samsung Exynos 1330 and Exynos 1380 are 5G compatible and bring faster performance to the existing market.

Exynos 1380: Features

It is a 5nm chipset with 4 ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz, ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz and the Mali-G68 GPU clocked at 950MHz. The chipset can drive FHD+ displays at a 144Hz refresh rate and is compatible with LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The ISP can handle up to 200MP camera sensors with 64MP resolution and 0 shutter lag. The NPU in this new SoC can compute up to 4.9TOPS, higher than Exynos 1280. It supports 4K 30 fps video recording with EIS, HDR, and real-time object recognition for better camera performance.

The chipset comes with a built-in 5G modem that supports mmWave and sub-6GHz networks, reaching peak download speeds of up to 367Gbps and upload speeds of up to 1.28Gbps. There is also support for Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, BeiDou, NFC, and USB Type-C charging. The chipset will first be found in the Galaxy A54 5G smartphone.

Exynos 1330: Features

It is Samsung’s first entry-level chipset using a 5nm process. Exynos 1330 has 2 Cortex A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz, 6 Cortex A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz, and the Mali G68 MP2 GPU. The new SoC can drive FHD+ resolution displays at a 120Hz refresh rate and is compatible with LPDDR4x/LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 2.2/3.1 storage. It is a slightly tweaked version of Exynos 1280.

The ISP supports up to 108MP cameras and can capture 32MP images with 0 shutter lag. A dual 16MP+16MP camera is also supported with 0 shutter lag. The MFC can record and play 4k 30fps videos in HEVC, H.264, and VP8 codecs.

Connectivity features include a 5G modem capable of sub-6GHz 5G networks. It can reach up to 2.55Gbps peak download speeds and 1.28Gbps upload speeds of 5G networks. BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C ports are supported. Exynos 1330 has already debuted in Galaxy A14 5G and is expected to make its way to lower-end Galaxy A-Series smartphones in the future.
