Samsung appears to be working on its next budget 5G phone called Galaxy A22 5G. The phone has surfaced on a benchmark listing site recently and also in few render images.

Here, take a look —

The unannounced Galaxy A22 5G has been spotted on Geekbench with a model name SM-226B. It shows up equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor and 6GB of RAM and Android 11 software.

In the meantime, the popular leakster Steve H. (OnLeaks/Voice) has published unofficial renders of the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G on Twitter. The images suggest A22 5G shall get a water-drop or Infinity-V display on the front. Meanwhile the back panel can be seen with a quad-camera setup in a squared fashion. The phone is also expected to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Besides the recent leaks, a few earlier claims suggest that Samsung could employ the same camera as Galaxy A21s (review) in the upcoming Galaxy A22 5G. If so, then A22 5G will get a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth lens. Also, there will be a 13MP selfie camera on the front.

In other news, Samsung has scheduled the launch of the Galaxy M42 5G in India on April 28.
