The headlines regarding the launch of Galaxy S24 are getting more prominent with each passing day. The latest set of rumors regarding the Galaxy S24 Ultra says that the smartphone’s telephoto lens will get a 5x optical zoom. The information has been revealed by a German publication Galaxy Club.

If the piece of rumor is true to any extent, then it is going to be the first phone to get the same after the Note 20 Ultra. In the current year, the Galaxy S23 Ultra shipped with a 10MP sensor, including 3X optical zoom. In addition, there is also a 10MP telephoto lens that goes up to 10x zoom. It is also in the air that Samsung is planning to drop one sensor from the Ultra lineup and go for a triple rear camera setup.

This points toward the fact that Samsung could be planning to introduce a more powerful camera instead of two mediocre ones. However, it would be pretty early to make a rigid statement for the sensor setup of the device. So, the readers are suggested to take the mentioned information with a grain of salt.

That said, there are other leaks and rumors regarding the handset that gives us a hint of what we can get to see. One of the most important ones is that the smartphone will get around 144Hz refresh rate which is better than what we got to see in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Apart from that, we will also get to see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with high-end RAM capacity and the appropriate amount of storage. As for the launch date, the Galaxy S24 series will make its global debut by early 2024.
