Do you remember the famous Nokia N-series? Do you still find yourself stuck in a nostalgic limbo every time an N70 or N95 is mentioned? Well, that’s exactly what Nokia plans to cash in on with the resurrection of this much celebrated and adored phone series.
According to reports, the company has filed an application with Chinese State Administration for the use of N-Series trademark. Apart from that, an image of a smartphone’s edge has popped up on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo with “N Series” incised on the table top.
It is worth remembering that the original N-Series established Nokia as the undisputed King of the mobile arena in mid 2000’s with the success it manage to achieve with Nokia N70, N90 and N91. Back then, the N Series phones use to run on Symbian operating system. In that period, Nokia dominance was such that it controlled a staggering 70 percent of market share.
If reports stand true, the new Nokia N-series smartphone will feature in mid-budget and has already entered in the production phase. Some reports even suggest that these N series phones will be unwrapped just before Mobile World Congress 2017 kicks start on February 26.
