Reliance Jio once again seems to disrupt the telecom market. This time it is set ride on the wave created by its 4G-enabled feature phone, called the JioPhone. Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani during last AGM announced its JioPhone and highlighted its major features and specifications. However, Jio maintained total silence on what’s under the hood.

Now, that secret has also been unraveled, courtesy smartphone chipset maker Qualcomm, which announced that the JioPhone is indeed getting powered by its latest 205 Mobile Platform, which is a 1.1GHz Dual Core SoC with integrated X5 LTE Global Mode modem for VoLTE and multimode dual-SIM.
