Leading Telecom operator Reliance Jio has been making strides not only to offer top-notch telecom services to Indians but also to diversify the ways of entertainment. Launched in 2016, Jio TV App was Jio’s first step towards making entertainment on the go more accessible. The app, which is free to download on Play Store and Apple Store offers 1000+ LIVE channels across genres like News, Movies, Entertainment, Sports, Religion, and more. The app can be used by those who have Jio SIM numbers as all they have to do is download the app, key in their Jio Mobile Number, and start using the app for free.
Unlike the Jio Cinema app (that itself underwent a major overhaul in 2023) which is free to use by anyone, the Jio TV App is free only for Jio Sim Users. Now, Reliance has announced some new prepaid plans calling them Jio TV Premium Plans. These plans include 14 OTT Apps along with all the live channels on the go. In today’s world where OTT platforms are becoming indispensable, these premium plans offering Voice+ Data benefits along with OTT Apps subscription will feel like a sweet deal to the consumers.
Before we learn about the plans that have been announced, let us first look at which 14 apps are bundled inside the plans.

Looking at the list, we realize that apart from Netflix India, all the major OTT apps have become a part of the bundle.
The apps will be accessible on smartphones only. The plans will not be applicable on big screens like Smart TVs.

Jio TV Premium Plans:
Jio TV Premium Plans will be available to subscribe from today, that is 15th December 2023. While content from some OTT apps will be seen in Jio TV App, Disney+Hotstar will be activated using the registered mobile number and My Jio App will be used to claim subscriptions of Prime Video and Jio Cinema Premium. There are 4 plans that bundle Voice+ Data+ OTT in one place-
- Rs. 4498 Plan- This premium plan offers 2GB daily data, Jio TV Premium (14 Apps), 100 SMS per day, and Unlimited Voice Calling for 1 year. Jio Cinema Premium will be available as well along with priority customer care service. The plan can be availed with EMIs as well.
- Rs. 1198 Plan- This premium plan offers Unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS per day, 2GB daily data, and Jio TV Premium (14 Apps) for 84 days.
- Rs. 398 Plan- This premium plan offers Unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS per day, 2GB Daily data, and Jio TV Premium (but with 12 apps instead of 14) for 28 days. Which two apps aren’t included in the plan isn’t clear at the moment. More details are awaited.
- Rs. 148- It is a data add-on voucher that will offer 10 GB of data and Jio TV premium (12 apps) for 28 days. If you want to go economical, this one is apt.

- Recharge with any of the premium plans, suitable as per your needs.
- Log in to the Jio TV App by keying in your Jio SIM number.
- Follow the steps to avail all the bundled subscriptions.
- Enjoy watching for free for the duration of your plans. No additional login or password needed.
