Reliance Jio to launch Jio Smart TV, Jio tablet, and JioBook laptop in 2022

India’s largest telecom company Jio is reportedly working to launch its first smart TV, laptop and a tablet in India. All three product are likely to be named at Jio Smart TV, JioBook Laptop and Jio Tablet. Reliance had recently launched JioPhone Next which claims to be the cheapest 4G smartphone in the country. Now, the newer info about electronic items is waving the rumor mill with more products to add to the company’s portfolio. Likewise, Jio’s USP is to provide affordable services, it is widely believed that the company will foray into the electronics segment with budget products. 

Reliance Jio Smart TV details

As far as the Jio Smart TV feature is concerned, it can be expected to ship in different screen sizes namely 32-inch, 43-inch, and 50-inch. The Jio Smart TV could allow a maximum resolution of 1080p to suit the price factor. They likely to come running on a custom OS like the JioPhone Next’s Pragati OS. Also, the Jio Smart TV is said to come bundled with a set-top box to be connected with the Jio Fiber setup. 

As we talk about the existence of Jio smart TV, the reports suggest it will be priced under Rs 15,000 for its base model.

Reliance Jio Tablet details

The Jio tablet rumors suggests it will also be on the Pragati OS similar to JioPhone Next. The tablet is anticipated to be powered by a modest Qualcomm SoCs. Just like the JioPhone Next, it is likely to come pre-installed with Google bundle of apps including Play Store, Jio apps, and some streaming apps.

Reliance JioBook Laptop details

While the JioBook was previously said to debut on Diwali alongside the JioPhone Next launch event. But the telecom giant decided to skip due to chipset shortage. Nevertheless, JioBook has appeared on Geekbench listing revealing the major set of specs. It is leaked to come equipped with an octa-core MediaTek MT8788 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It could get Android skin atop.

The Reliance JioBook is reported to sport an HD display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It should offer 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity. The company is said to present its first laptop pre-loaded with popular Jio apps and some Microsoft apps like Team, MS Office, and Edge.
