Xiaomi India is all set to launch a new Redmi Smart TV in the Indian market. This will be the first time that a Smart TV will come with Fire OS in the country. Xiaomi has started teasing the launch and the date of launch for the Redmi Smart TV is confirmed to be the 14th of March 2023.

Redmi Smart TV with Fire OS 7: Details

E-commerce website Amazon has a dedicated microsite for the upcoming Redmi Smart TV with Fire OS 7. The page confirms that there will be a Smart Control Hub and a one-for-all remote control. To date, Xiaomi has partnered with Google and launched Smart TVs with Android TV OS, so this will be the first time that Redmi is partnering with Amazon for the Fire TV OS experience.

The listing also reveals that the upcoming TV will have a bezel-less design and a metallic build. The Smart TV is confirmed to come with support for Dual-Band WiFi, Bluetooth version 5.0, Miracast, and Apple AirPlay. Some more exciting specs are also expected.

Since Xiaomi has Smart TVs with Fire OS globally in the form of the Xiaomi F2 TV range which come in 43-inch, 50-inch, and 55-inch sizes and have a metal unibody design, the same specs can be expected for the upcoming TV in India. These smart TVs also come with 4K Ultra screen resolution, MEMC, HDR10, HLG, a 90% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 1.07 billion colors.

The Smart TV comes with dual Speakers 12W each, support for Dolby Audio, DTS HD, and DTD: Virtual: X audio. The TVs are powered by quad-core processors, have Alexa voice control, and have the ability to cast phones, laptops, and tablets via Miracast and AirPlay among other things.

It remains to be seen if the TV launching in India will have these same features or not. The price too is not known at the moment, but speculations are rife that it will be an affordable smart TV.
