The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched two new tablets in India: Redmi Pad Pro and Redmi Pad SE. While the former offers a larger screen with better performance, the latter features a 90Hz display, dual speakers, and a headphone jack. Check out more details about both the tablets here.
Redmi Pad Pro Specifications
The Redmi Pad Pro features a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate (and 180Hz touch sampling rate). With regards to peak brightness, the tablet can achieve up to 600 nits, which is decently bright for both indoor and outdoor usage. The screen supports DC Dimming, Dolby Vision, and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches. Complementing the screen are the tablet’s four speakers, which are certified to deliver Dolby Atmos sound.
Under the hood, the tablet sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with the Adreno 710 GPU. The chipset, for all intents and purposes, offers mid-range horsepower. For instance, it scores around 598K points on the Antutu 10 benchmark and about 1,012/2,943 points in the single/multi-core GeekBench 6 scores. With the processor, the tablet comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Regarding optics, the Redmi Pad Pro features an 8MP (f/2.0) camera on the rear panel and a similar 8MP (f/2.28) camera on the front. Powering the tablet is a 10,000 mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging. Connectivity options on the tablet include Wi-Fi and 5G (depending on the model users get), while Bluetooth v5.2 and USB-C Type-C 2.0 are common. Out of the box, the device runs on Xiaomi HyperOS based on Android 14.
The device is compatible with Redmi’s first Smart Pen stylus and the keyboard-style protective case.
Redmi Pad Pro Availability And Price
The Redmi Pad Pro models will be available from the leading e-commerce platforms (including Amazon, Flipkart, and Xiaomi’s official website) in India at 12 PM on August 2. Buyers with an ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank credit card can get an instant discount of Rs. 2,000.
- The Redmi Pad Pro (Wi-Fi), with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, will be available for Rs. 21,999. Available colors include Graphite Gray and Quick Silver.
- The Redmi Pad Pro (5G), with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, will be available for Rs. 24,999.
- The Redmi Pad Pro (5G), with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will be available for Rs. 26,999. Available colors include Mist Blue and Graphite Gray.

Redmi Pad SE 4G Specifications
The Redmi Pad SE 4G ships with an 8.7-inch HD+ LCD screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Like the Redmi Pad Pro, the display can achieve a peak brightness of 600 nits and features Gorilla Glass 3 protection. To handle day-to-day tasks, the tablet features the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. Regarding storage, the device ships in two variants: 64GB and 128GB. Those willing to expand the storage can use a microSD card (up to 2TB).
For clicking pictures, the device features an 8MP (f/2.0) rear camera and a 5MP (f/2.2) front camera. The tablet draws its power from a 6,650 mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging. Connectivity options on the tablet include a 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G VolTE (Dual SIM), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, and a USB Type-C port. Like the other model, this one also runs on HyperOS based on Android 14.
Redmi Pad SE 4G Availability And Price
Unlike the Redmi Pad Pro, the Redmi Pad SE will be up for grabs at 12 PM on August 8. The channels through which the tablet will be available remain the same. Those with ICICI Bank credit cards can avail of a discount of Rs. 1,000.
- The Redmi Pad SE 4G, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, is available at Rs. 10,999.
- The Redmi Pad SE 4G, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is available at Rs. 11,999. Available colors include Forest Green, Urban Gray, and Ocean Blue.
