The 4G model is being launched to cater to the section of the population which is still not ready to move to 5G. It will be an affordable 4G device.

While Xiaomi has not confirmed the exact launch date, a XiaomiUI report has revealed some details about the Redmi Note 12 4G smartphone. The report reveals some major specs based on the IMEI database listing of the Note 12 4G.

Redmi Note 12 4G: Details

The XiaomiUI report claims that there are 2 versions of Note 12 4G device. The website spotted 3 Redmi Models in the IMEI database. One of them is codenamed ‘Tapas’. Those coming to India have model numbers 23028RA60L and 23021RAAEG. Both these don’t support NFC while the 3rd one does. The NFC-supported model will have a global launch but not come to India. This one is codenamed ‘Topaz’ and has the model number 23021RAA2Y.

The report also claims that the Note 12 4G will run Android 13 out of the box with a layer on MIUI 14. The smartphone will have at least 4GB RAM and 64GB storage while the top storage option will be 8GB RAM/128GB storage.

Although no other details have been talked about, the phone might have an AMOLED display, triple camera setup at the back, MediaTek Helios chipset, and a large battery. However, we will have to wait for Xiaomi to make things official to know the exact specs.
