Redmi 8A Dual launched in 64GB variant; costs Rs 8,999

Redmi 8A Dual, that initially launched back in February, now comes in 3G RAM and 64GB storage option as well. Originally, Redmi 8A Dual was launched in tow variants – 2GB + 32GB and 3GB + 32GB. All the other specs remain similar.

Redmi 8A Dual 64GB Price & Availability

Xiaomi India has set the price of Redmi 8A Dual 3GB + 64GB at Rs 8,999. The device will go on sale from June 15 through Amazon India, Mi official store, and retail shops. The older version of 2GB + 32GB was selling at Rs 7,499 and 3GB + 32GB at Rs 7,999 in India.

Redmi 8A Dual Features

The Redmi 8A Dual has a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS display with a waterdrop notch to house an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The backside of the phone adopts an Aura XGrip design for a comfortable grip. Redmi installed a dual rear camera in the 8A Dual that comprises 13MP primary and 2MP depth sensors. The Redmi 8A Dual also comes with camera modes of AI Portrait, AI Scene Detection, AI Portrait selfies, and AI Beautify.

The Redmi 8A Dual is powered by an entry-grade 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 439 processor, now coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, expandable to 512GB. The battery has 5000mAh capacity with the support of 18W fast charge. The phone unlocks with a face scanner. Redmi 8A Dual runs on Android 9 and supports the Google Lens feature.

In other news, Xiaomi is currently working on its next-generation smartphone Redmi 9. The new phone goes official with a 6.53-inch display, an octa-core Mediatek Helio G80 chipset, quad rear cameras, and 18W fast-charging battery. The Chinese giant has not revealed the details of its arrival to India but we expect it anytime soon.
