On Friday, Madhav Sheth, the Vice President and President of Realme, made a significant announcement. He will be taking up a new global role as the Vice President for Business and Corporate Strategy (Global) at Realme. This move follows rumors that Madhav was considering stepping down from his position as the head of Realme India. To replace him, the company is planning to hire a top Chinese executive to lead its India business.

Madhav Sheth took to Twitter to share some thrilling news. In a tweet, he expressed his excitement about accepting a new role as the VP for Business and Corporate Strategy (Global). He also conveyed his enthusiasm about contributing to the success of the company in his new role.

Exciting news! I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve accepted a new role as VP for Business and Corporate Strategy (Global). Excited to take this opportunity and contribute to the company’s success,” said Madhav Sheth in a Tweet.

As Madhav takes on his new role, it remains unclear who will take charge of Realme India’s business. According to sources, Realme is expected to make an announcement regarding this matter soon.

Madhav’s contribution to Realme’s success cannot be overstated. He played a pivotal role in transforming Realme from just another sub-brand of OPPO to an independent brand with a diverse product portfolio that includes smartphones, TVs, tablets, and audio devices, among others. Thanks to his expertise and market knowledge, Realme has become a dominant force in India’s tech landscape.

Industry experts have expressed concerns that Realme could face obstacles in appointing a Chinese national to head their Indian business. This is because the Indian government has been closely monitoring Chinese-operated companies, especially smartphone vendors suspected of evading large amounts of taxes. The government’s scrutiny of such companies could create challenges for Realme in securing approval for the appointment of a Chinese executive.
