Just recently Realme revealed it’s getting into the high-end market with smartphones costing over ₹60,000. The company which started off as a budget player is now aiming high. And it seems Realme won’t be just doing a regular rectangle form factor, but flashy foldables and phones with an under-screen camera too. This new bit of news also comes from an official source. Well, not only that we have also got our hands on leaked design sketches of a folding phone dubbed Realme GT 2 Fold.

Interesting name aside, the sketch also gives out some details of the device. Let’s check them out.

Realme GT 2 Fold Design and Specs

The design is inward-folding similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G (review). The leaked sketch tells us the foldable will have an 8-inch main display inside. It seems to have a right-cornered punch hole camera.

Fold it and on the outside, there will be a 6.5-inch cover screen. Both of these panels are marked as AMOLED. And even though not mentioned, we feel it should have high-refresh-rate.

As for the cameras, the device is shown to sport a 50MP + 50MP duo by the back. The second one is likely an ultrawide snapper.

The sketches also show a USB-C port and a speaker grille by the bottom as well as the volume rockers and power key on the side frame. That power button could double as a fingerprint reader.

Now, all the details discussed hitherto are gathered from the leaked sketch. Although we don’t have evidence validating these specifics, what we have is a word from the company CMO (China), Mr. Xu Qi Chase, who is bullish on form factors like foldables and under-screen camera phones. So, it’s clear that Realme is thinking of expanding its portfolio with newer device designs and technologies, but when they shall materialize is something to be seen.
