Realme 5 series is set to launch on August 20 at 12.30 pm as listed on Flipkart microsite. The lineup will include two phones – Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro. We have a fair clue about the latter, thanks to the official teasers and leaks up online.

A recent tweet from the Realme official handle reveals the 48MP Quad-Camera setup.

Just the other day, a Flipkart advert revealed that the quartet will include a 119-degree FoV ultrawide, portrait, super macro alongside the primary 48MP shooter.

Flipkart has also shared a glimpse of the same quad-camera panel, mounted at the back of the 5 Pro.

Yet another source adds more details. A leakster named Sudhanshu Ambhore claims the main camera will be powered by a Sony IMX586 sensor, which is plausible.

Realme 5 Pro might come wielding a 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset. This chipset debuted earlier this year and claims to bring about a 10% bump in performance than the Snapdragon 710 chip. The latter, if you recall, is driving the Realme X. It has a faster CPU with eight Kryo 360 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz compared to the former’s 2.2 GHz clock speed.

To reiterate, it will launch on August 20, 2019. Let’s see how far does the leap to quad cameras reflect in the overall mobile photography.
