Porsche has officially opened bookings for the new-generation 911 GT3 in India, with prices starting at ₹3.32 crore (ex-showroom) before any options are added. With Porsche, the options list runs long. The car is already live on Porsche’s official configurator, meaning prospective buyers can start speccing their unit right away. Deliveries for the standard specification are expected to begin later this year, though that timeline could shift depending on how heavily a buyer customises their car.

In a market increasingly dominated by turbocharged and electrified performance cars, the GT3 continues to hold onto a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine, and that’s very much the appeal here. The engine produces 503bhp and 470Nm of torque, sent through a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox, which comes as standard equipment in India. Globally, Porsche also offers a manual gearbox option on the GT3, but that variant isn’t being made available to Indian buyers.

Performance figures are properly serious for a road-legal car: 0-100kph comes up in 3.4 seconds, and top speed is rated at 312kph. To put its track credentials into perspective, the GT3 has already lapped the Nürburgring in 6 minutes and 55.34 seconds with professional racing driver Lars Kern behind the wheel — a genuinely quick time for anything you can register and drive on public roads.

Step inside, and the GT3’s interior reflects its track-first philosophy without skipping on finish. The standard setup includes a Race-Tex black interior with GT Silver contrast stitching, paired with four-way electric seats. For buyers who want more lateral support during aggressive driving, Porsche offers adaptive sports seats as an optional upgrade.

The car rides on 21-inch forged aluminium wheels — chosen specifically to keep unsprung weight down without compromising the GT3’s overall stance.
Porsche offers 10 standard colour options on the GT3 straight out of the catalogue. For buyers who want something more distinctive, the brand’s Paint-to-Sample programme allows for virtually any custom shade to be specified. The configurator also opens the door to genuine performance upgrades, including the Manthey Performance Kit and the Weissach Package — both aimed at sharpening the car’s track ability even further for those who plan to actually use it the way Porsche intended.

The 911 GT3 has long held a special place within Porsche’s line-up as one of the last few road cars to genuinely prioritise driver feedback and mechanical purity over outright numbers. At a time when most performance brands are moving toward turbocharging and hybridisation for efficiency and emissions reasons, the GT3’s naturally aspirated flat-six remains something of a holdout, which is why enthusiasts continue to hold the car in such high regard.
With bookings now open, the new GT3 gives Indian buyers in the ultra-premium performance segment one more reason to consider Porsche’s 911 line-up over rivals, particularly those chasing a car that feels as engaging on a track day as it does on a Sunday morning drive.
