Poco X5 5G enters the Indian market with Super AMOLED display

The Poco X5 5G has finally entered the Indian market today. One of the most important highlights of the device is that it ships with a Super AMOLED display and is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. As for the design, it has a shiny rear panel with a rectangular-shaped camera island at the top, covering one-third of the phone. For the purpose of security, the device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

As for the pricing, the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage is available in the market at a price of Rs 18,999. On the other hand, the 8GB RAM variant of the smartphone with 256GB internal storage is priced at Rs 20,999. Under the early bird offer, the regular variant can be brought at Rs 16,999 and the high-end variant at Rs 18,999 with the ICICI Bank cards. The sale of the smartphones is scheduled to start on March 21 at 12:00 PM via Flipkart. It will be shipped in three different color options – Supernova Green, Wildcat Blue, and Jaguar Black.

Poco X5 5G specifications

The Poco X5 5G features an FHD+ 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device has 1200 nits of peak brightness and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It works on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage in the top-end variant. When it comes to the camera, the Poco X5 5G flaunts a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, the smartphone sports a 13MP front snapper for the sake of selfies and video calls.

It operates on MIUI 14, based on the Android 12 operating system. The handset also has a facial unlock feature which levels up the security and protection. It comes also has IP53 certification and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone also gets features like Bluetooth 5.1, IR Blaster, WiFi 6, and dual-SIM 5G. It draws power from a 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
