Panasonic P77 With 5-inch Display and VoLTE Launched At 6,990 INR

Panasonic further expands its P series budget Android portfolio with the launch of P77, a 7.6mm Slim smartphone, that’s already retailing for 6,990 INR.

Like most other Panasonic phones, this one too is meant for offline retail channels and thus the specs feel a bit lackluster compared to online offerings.

To start with, the Pansonic P77 is powered by 1GHz quad core processor with just 1GB RAM and Paltry 8GB storage. Moreover, the P77 is running Android 5.1 Lollipop, which has certainly begun to grow mold.

Other generic set of hardware includes 8MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter and a 2000mAh battery.

Keeping aside the specs, the P77 does try to impress with its slim and stylish design that is complimented by a reasonably sharp 5-inch HD display. The handset also supports 4G VoLTE and two SIM card slots.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, We continue to focus on all the segments of mobile phones with different price points and value proposition. We are pleased to offer the new P77 with 4G VoLTE technology to our Indian customers at an affordable price of Rs. 6990. With this device, we reassure our commitment to offer better design & quality products to our valued customers.”

He added, “With the new launches, we are looking to gain more than 200% percent growth over corresponding period last year. This year the company expects Rs 600 crore INR sales this festive season. by aggressively expanding distribution network and launching more phone models.
