Among the different mobile brands, Oppo is one that has still not released its own TV in India. However, the company has a portfolio of TVs in its home market. And, if the latest rumors from industry sources are true, Oppo’s planning to bring its debutant TV to our country in the starting month of 2022.
Tipster Mukul Sharma claims the upcoming arrival of Oppo TV in India. The source said that Oppo TV could officially launch in the first quarter of 2022. It will compete against the offering from Xiaomi, Redmi, Realme, OnePlus, etc.
Oppo Smart TV in India
Despite zero presence in India, Oppo is looking to gain ranks in the Indian TV market. The company has several TVs in its Chinese portfolio including the R1, S1, and K9 series where the lattermost one is the latest of the lot.
Oppo’s K9 series TVs were debuted back in May in four different sizes including 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. All these models sport LCD panels with a refresh rate of 60Hz, HDR10+, and HLG support. The TVs are powered by a quad-core MediaTek chipset with a frequency of up to 1.5GHz, 2GB RAM, and up to 16GB internal memory. The TV runs on ColorOS TV 2.0 software.
It is expected that the K9 lineup could cross the Indian border to become the first TV series from Oppo here. Still, it is too early to make such predictions as the Chinese maker could opt to bring a remodeled version or perhaps, a completely new TV to the country. Let’s wait and watch.
