  • OPPO has started rolling out the ColorOS 16 June update (version 16.0.8) to eligible devices.
  • The update introduces a new Sports Widget, Audio Sharing, and improved security features.
  • Users also get moon phase information in the Weather app, 2K game screenshots, and a few Outdoor Mode improvements.

OPPO has begun rolling out the June 2026 ColorOS 16 update (version 16.0.8) to several smartphones in India. The update brings a mix of new features, security enhancements, and quality-of-life improvements across the system. It’s already live on many eligible devices, with the wider rollout continuing in phases throughout June.

So, let’s take a look at what’s new in the latest ColorOS 16.0.8 update.

Sports Widget Comes to the Home Screen

One of the biggest additions in this update is the new Sports Widget. OPPO is adding support for live football updates directly on the Home Screen and Shelf, allowing users to track match schedules, scores, and other updates without opening a separate app. Match information can also be surfaced automatically through AI Suggest before games begin.

Audio Sharing for Two Bluetooth Devices Simultaneously

ColorOS 16 now supports Audio Sharing, which allows a single OPPO smartphone to connect to two pairs of Bluetooth earphones at the same time. This can be useful when watching videos or listening to music with someone else.

New Security Features

The June update also brings Accessibility Security Alerts. If an app installed from an unknown source gains Accessibility permissions, ColorOS will immediately notify users and provide an option to revoke the permission with a single tap.

Weather App Gets More Detailed

OPPO is also expanding the functionality of the Weather app. Users can now view moonrise and moonset timings, along with live moon phase information directly within the app.

Outdoor Mode Receives Improvements

Outdoor Mode is getting a few improvements as well. Users can now pin up to four frequently used apps for faster access while outdoors. OPPO has also improved app transitions and location responsiveness within the mode.

Additional Changes

The update adds support for 2K screenshots in Game Capture, allowing users to save higher-resolution gameplay screenshots. In addition, the app drawer’s Categories view now includes a new “App Suggestions” section that surfaces frequently used applications for quicker access.

ColorOS 16.0.8 Eligible Devices

According to OPPO, the 16.0.8 update is rolling out to the Find X9 Ultra, Find X9 Pro, Find X9s, Find X9, Find X8 Pro, Find X8, Reno15 Pro, Reno15, Reno14 Pro, and Reno14. The rollout started on June 1 and will continue in phases through June 30.
