Oppo launched the A78 5G in the Malaysian market pretty soon, and now the brand is all set to introduce the device in the Indian market. Now the brand has officially confirmed via a tweet that the smartphone is going to make its way to the Indian market by January 16. Speculations are that the Indian variant of the device will be similar to the Malaysian variant.

The teaser of the smartphone has already confirmed that it will get a dual-camera system along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor doubled up with the power button. The rear panel of the device will most probably have a matte finish along with a glossy strip running down from the camera islands.

Oppo A78 5G expected specifications

If the smartphone is going to be exactly the same as its Malaysian variant, then we already know what will be offered. The Oppo A78 could come with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display panel of the device will be protected with Panda Glass Protection. The smartphone will run on the ColorOS 13 based on the Android 13 operating system. It will work on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage in the high-end variant.

In terms of optics, we can get to see a dual rear camera setup in Oppo A78 5G, including a 50MP primary shooter and a 2MP mono shooter. On the front, the device may flaunt an 8MP front sensor for selfies and video calls. High chances are that it will draw power from a 50000mAh battery and 33W SuperVOOC charging support. The device may ship in two different color variants, including purple and black. As of now, there has been no confirmation regarding the pricing of the smartphone. Nonetheless, speculations are that it will be priced somewhere between Rs 18,000 to Rs 20,000.
