Oppo has unveiled a new selfie-centric smartphone – Oppo A57 in China. Barring 16-megapixel selfie camera, Oppo A57 is more or less a budget smartphone with standard specifications.The smartphone is made available in gold and rose gold color variants. Oppo A57 will go on sale in China starting from December 12 for 1,599 Yuan (approximately RS 15,990). 
Oppo A57 houses a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720-pixel resolution. The smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. Oppo A57 comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage that can be bumped up to 128GB via microSD card slot. The smartphone offers a nothing unusual when it comes design and strikingly resembles with Oppo devices.
In optics section, the Oppo A57 comes studded with a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12nm pixel size. At the back, there is a 13MP one with f/2.2 aperture and phase detection autofocus. It comes with LTE support and houses a 2900mAh battery.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based ColorOS 3.0. The smartphone weighs 147 grams and is just 7.65mm thick waistline. As of now, it is unclear whether Oppo plans to take this device outside its mainland.
