The OnePlus Pad 2 has finally made its way to the Indian shores. OnePlus has launched a variety of products during the OnePlus Summer Launch event. A lot has been improved with added advanced AI-based features in the new iteration of the Pad series. Let’s have a look at what is being offered on this new Pad 2.
Specifications and Features: OnePlus Pad 2

The new OnePlus Pad 2 being the successor brings a lot of upgrades compared to the older OnePlus Pad. At first glance, this is equipped with a 12.1-inch 3K IPS LCD Panel which also supports Dolby Vision having a resolution of 3000 x 2120 pixels along with 900nits of peak brightness and 144Hz of refresh rate. Powering the smartphone there is 9,510mAh which supports 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. And for high-intensity tasks like editing and gaming, this Pad 2 is backed by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with 12GB of RAM for multitasking and a storage capacity of 256GB.
Because of the introduction to AI, the new OnePlus Pad 2 is equipped with a lot of useful AI-based features. The Open Canvas splits the screen into three three different apps for multitasking. You can directly scan documents and save them as PDF files via the Scan Document feature. Then there is AI Speak which reads the on-screen text aloud, AI Writer which can write content based on image and text inputs, and AI Summary which can summarize long-form information into key points, all these three tools can be found in the AI Toolbox.

Then there is also a feature called Smart Cutout 2.0 which is capable of cutting pictures into PNG format for editing and other purposes. One more much-needed AI feature is here the AI Eraser 2.0 which is capable of removing unwanted people and objects from images on a single click. You can also record voice and convert it into summarized text via the Recording Summary feature.
The new Pad 2 runs on the AI-optimized Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 which delivers a great user experience. The capability of capturing the moments of the OnePlus Pad 2 is taken care of by a 13MP sensor at the rear and an 8MP camera at the front for selfies and video calls.
Upgrades from its Predecessor
Well, there aren’t many changes on the outside but from the inside a lot has been changed and upgraded like the new Pad 2 gets a better 3K display compared to the 2K display on its predecessor. The device features a Six-speaker system with the support of the OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus and OnePlus Smart keyboard accessories. Performance wise the Pad 2 gets a better Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC processor than its predecessor which had the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 chipset. The new Pad 2 is more advanced because of the addition of AI features which its predecessor didn’t have.
OnePlus Pad 2 Price in India
The base variant of the OnePlus Pad 2 with the configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 39,999 and the higher 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage variant costs Rs. 42,999. As its accessories the OnePlus Stylo 2 Stylus is offered at Rs. 8,499 and OnePlus Smart Keyboard for Rs. 5,499. As announced the device will go on sale on August 1st on OnePlus’s Official website and Amazon India.
