The leak from OnePlus’ homeland shows the alleged 7 alongside another phone, which seems like the OnePlus 6T. While both the phones are within a protective case, their actual identities are somewhat in disguise.

If this is true, then the Oneplus could take the Oppo and Xiaomi’s route and sport a slider mechanism just like in the Find X or Mi Mix 3. There could be a magnetic slider to house its various cameras, sensors, and antenna.

So, the previous leaks showed us a circular ring at the Oneplus 7’s back for the camera. There are other rumors of an upcoming 5G phone from Oneplus. Well, why wouldn’t they get into the 5G bandwagon as soon as possible?

OnePlus is likely to launch two new smartphones in the first half of this year, one of them being a 5G smartphone. CEO Pete Lau, recently commented that the 5G phone will be launched by the end of May 2019 separate from the OnePlus 7. It will also sport a separate branding than the existing phones. He also disclosed that Oneplus 5G phone will be at least $200-$300 costlier than the OnePlus 6T.

Like most other flagship phones of 2019, these phones could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor. The same has been confirmed by Mr. Lau at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in December last year.
