The OnePlus 13, which we reviewed earlier, has been receiving a lot of praise for its cameras, performance, and battery life. A close competitor is the vivo X200, priced similarly at ₹65,999, but it comes with a different chip, camera setup, and, of course, several other differences.
But… is it better than the OnePlus 13? This is a valid question because vivo is generally known for excelling in cameras but falling short in other areas. For instance, the vivo X200 comes with USB-C 2.0, no wireless charging, a smaller battery, arguably weaker software, and a few other drawbacks compared to the OnePlus 13.
The OnePlus 13? It’s got USB-C 3.2, 50W wireless charging, a larger battery, arguably better software, and a few other advantages over the vivo X200. But what about the cameras? Which one does it better? Are the OnePlus 13’s cameras any good, you might ask.
vivo is known for its great cameras, yes, but the OnePlus 13 isn’t lagging behind this time. The OnePlus 13 brings the same camera setup as the OPPO Find X8 Pro minus the 6X lens. So, the cameras are also going to be a fierce battle, yes.
So, it’s all very confusing, right? Well, worry not. I’m here to clear it all for you. I’ve been using both the vivo X200 and the OnePlus 13 for the past few days, and I think each one of these holds its own. Let’s dive into the details.

OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Design and Build

The OnePlus 13 takes a very minimal approach when it comes to the design. Gone is the classic look the OnePlus 12’s camera module that blended into the curved frame. The OnePlus 13 boasts a circular camera island on the rear, which, if you ask me, doesn’t scream very premium, at least in the blue vegan leather colorway.
The vivo X200 goes for the same old boring camera island in the center, just like vivo X100. It attracts a LOT of dust, fingerprints, and smudges. The OnePlus 13 is thankfully safe. The X200’s back is glass and the green colorway looks very good. It has a matte finish, so cleaning the back panel doesn’t feel like a chore.
But what about the in-hand feel? On the OnePlus 13, it’s really good, unless you don’t like leather. However, the vivo X200 feels more dense and premium in the hand. It’s also a little more comfortable in my opinion.

Weight? Both devices are neither too heavy nor too light, I’d say. 210/213 grams on the OnePlus and 197 grams on the vivo. On paper, the vivo X200 is 8 mm while the OnePlus is 8.9 mm for the vegan leather one and 8.5 mm for the glass back ones.
The weight distribution is excellent on the OnePlus, and the camera module does not protrude too much. The X200 is also fine but someone, not me, with smaller hands might find it top-heavy. The frame is glossy aluminum on both.

The OnePlus 13 is available in three color options: Black, White, and Blue, while the vivo X200 is available in two color options: Green and Black. OnePlus’ white and vivo’s green are the best in my opinion.
As far as durability is concerned, both devices are neck-to-neck. Firstly, it’s using Ceramic Guard, which is apparently 2X as strong as the Gorilla Glass Victus. vivo’s Schott Xensation glass protection is also good but we don’t have any numbers on that.
Anyway, both devices feature IP68 + IP69 rating (1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes). OnePlus’ buttons are placed higher than usual while vivo’s buttons are placed really well.
OnePlus scores extra with USB-C 3.2 for faster data transfer and better peripheral support. vivo, unfortunately, sticks with USB-C 2.0. Neither device has a headphone jack.

SIM Both devices support dual nano SIM and eSIM but no microSD slot. Storage is non-expandable, so choose wisely when buying.
The OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 both handle connectivity well, supporting a wide range of 5G and LTE bands. However, the OnePlus seemed slightly more stable in areas with poor reception during testing.
Finally, with the vivo X200, you get a transparent TPU case inside the box, while with the OnePlus 13, you get a color-matched opaque case.
OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Display
The OnePlus 13 packs a 6.82-inch AMOLED LTPO display with 2K resolution, a sharp pixel density of 550 PPI, and a peak brightness of 4,500 Nits. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for stunning visuals. The refresh rate goes up to 120 Hz (or as low as 1 Hz), making it buttery smooth, especially for gaming.
On the other hand, the vivo X200 comes with a slightly smaller 6.67-inch AMOLED LTPO panel, also with a 1.5K resolution and 460 PPI. Peak brightness hits 4,500 Nits, which is impressive. It doesn’t feature Dolby Vision but has HDR10+.

The refresh rate is 120 Hz but it’s not LTPO, meaning the refresh rate doesn’t dynamically adjust to 1 Hz when viewing static content.
In terms of color accuracy, both displays are offering great colors but I found the OnePlus to be a bit more natural. The contrast ratio is excellent on both devices, and there’s minimal PWM flicker on low brightness levels.
Both the OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 feature quad-curved displays, making swiping and scrolling feel very smooth. However, this design does come with the drawback of limited screen protector availability.

While both displays perform well in terms of brightness, the OnePlus 13 edges ahead by being slightly brighter and less saturated. One caveat is that the OnePlus 13 ships with its resolution set to 1080p by default, so you’ll need to manually switch to the higher resolution for the best experience.
Overall, the OnePlus 13 edges out with a brighter, sharper, and a more advanced display, while the vivo X200 still offers a decent experience. If you’re a heavy gamer or prefer the best possible brightness outdoors, the OnePlus 13 takes the crown.
OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Audio, Microphones, and Haptics
The OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 both deliver good audio and multimedia experiences, but with noticeable differences. The OnePlus 13 is equipped with stereo speakers that are clear and have a bit off bass. They could’ve been louder, though.
The vivo X200 also has stereo speakers (with earpiece) which are loud enough with acceptable clarity. The OnePlus 13 comes with LDAC/LHDC support while the vivo X200 comes with LHDC only. There’s no dedicated DAC on either phone.

Microphones
Microphone quality is good on both devices, with clear audio capture and effective noise cancellation during calls and recordings. The OnePlus 13 edges ahead slightly with better clarity in windy or noisy environments, thanks for the quad mic array.
Haptics
For haptics, the OnePlus 13 features a more premium haptic engine, offering precise and satisfying feedback. The vivo X200’s haptics are decent but lack the sharpness and refinement of the OnePlus. The integration is also better on the OnePlus.
OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Software

The OnePlus 13 outshines the vivo X200 in terms of software experience. Running Android 15 with OxygenOS.15, the OnePlus 13 offers a faster, and more user-friendly interface. vivo X200, on the other hand, ships with Funtouch OS 15 on top of Android 15, which is feature-packed but feels cluttered and less optimized compared to OxygenOS.
Both are plagued with bloatware and ads but OxygenOS lets you disable everything unlike Funtouch OS which does not allow it. Funtouch OS includes a few AI features—AI Eraser, AI Glare Reduction, Live Call Transcription and Translation, AI Notes, Circle to Search, and Google Gemini.
However, OxygenOS also has a lot more AI features—AI Summary, AI Speak, AI Recording Summary, AI Reflection Remover, AI Unblur, AI Detail Boost, AI Eraser, AI Notes, AI Intelligent Search, Circle to Search, Gemini, AI Reply, AI Writer and a lot more.

The vivo X200 has an update policy of 4 OS updates and 5 years of security updates. The OnePlus 13 is slightly ahead with an additional year of security updates—4 OS + 6 security.
Customizability is another win for the OnePlus 13. OxygenOS allows extensive lock screen and home screen personalization, widgets, themes, and icon pack changes. While Funtouch OS also supports lock screen personalization it isn’t as good or polished.
Gestures and navigation are smoother and more customizable on the OnePlus, with an emphasis on fluidity. vivo does offer similar features, but the overall execution is less refined. The vivo also scrolls at 60 Hz or 90 Hz in the auto mode, which is not a good thing. Switching to forced 120 Hz fixes it.

Overall, the OnePlus 13’s superior software experience, better update policy, and polished interface make it the clear winner for those who value operating system and user interface quality. The vivo X200’s software, at least at the time of writing, needs a lot of polish.
OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Performance, Benchmarks, and Gaming
When it comes to performance, the OnePlus 13 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the vivo X200 features the MediaTek Dimensity 9400. While both are powerful, the Snapdragon 8 Elite edges ahead in terms of raw performance and efficiency. Both devices share LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
The OnePlus 13 is available in three variants: 12 + 256 GB, 16 + 512 GB, and 24 + 1 TB, offering more options compared to the vivo X200, which only comes in 12 + 256 GB and 16 + 512 GB configurations.

Benchmark results like AnTuTu, Geekbench, and 3DMark mostly favor the OnePlus 13, though the vivo X200 does take the lead in certain benchmarks too.
Thermal management on both devices is excellent, but the OnePlus 13 handles prolonged gaming sessions better, possibly thanks to the larger vapor chamber.
In terms of gaming, FPS performance is similar across both devices, but the OnePlus 13 has broader compatibility with games like Grid Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone, which the vivo X200 simply can’t run or is capped to a lower setting.
For day-to-day use, both phones feel fast and responsive, but the OnePlus 13 offers a smoother and more versatile experience overall. Yes, the vivo X200 excels in video encoding and, to an extent, gaming too, but the OnePlus 13 remains the better performer overall.

OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Cameras
The OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 both aim to deliver flagship-grade camera performance, but they take different approaches. The OnePlus 13 features the same setup as the more expensive OPPO Find X8 Pro minus the 6X lens while the vivo X200 has an entirely different camera setup to that of its elder sibling, the vivo X200 Pro. Here are the specifications:

OnePlus 13 camera specs:
- Main Camera: 50 MP Sony LYT-808, 1/1.4”, f/1.6, OIS, 23mm, PDAF, Laser AF, 8K30, 4K30/60 HDR Dolby Vision
- Ultra-wide: 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5, 1/2.76”, f/2.0, 15mm, 120°, PDAF, 4K30/60 HDR Dolby Vision
- Periscope: 50 MP Sony LYT-600, 1/1.95”, f/2.65, OIS 3X optical, 73mm, PDAF, 4K30/60 HDR Dolby Vision
- Selfie: 32 MP Sony IMX615, 1/2.74”, f/2.4, 21mm, FF, 4K30/60 HDR Dolby Vision
vivo X200 camera specs:
- Main Camera: 50 MP Sony IMX921, 1/1.56”, f/1.57, OIS, 23mm, PDAF, Laser AF, 4K30/60
- Ultra-wide: 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5, 1/2.76”, f/2.0, 15mm, 120°, PDAF, 4K30/60
- Periscope: 50 MP Sony IMX882, 1/1.95”, f/2.57, OIS 3X optical, 70mm, PDAF, 4K30/60
- Selfie: 32 MP Samsung ISOCELL KD1, 1/3.45”, f/2.0, 23mm, FF, 4K30/60
Main
In daylight, both deliver sharp, vibrant images with excellent dynamic range, but the OnePlus edges out with slightly better detail preservation and lively colors, thanks to its Hasselblad tuning. That said, many would prefer the color tuning of ZEISS, and it is totally okay.
The light control is very inconsistent on both but I found the vivo to be nailing it more times than the OnePlus did. So, vivo does better when it comes to low-light, with better detail and no apparent oversharpening.
Lens flare is an issue on both devices so I try to avoid it by simply moving your camera away from any strong light source, if possible.

Ultra-wide
For ultra-wide shots, both vivo and OnePlus are using the same sensors. However, the OnePlus has more sharpening while the vivo tends to keep the details natural. Light control is slightly worse than the main camera on both phones and the details in low-light are in the acceptable range.

Zoom and Macro
The OnePlus 13 features a 3x triprism lens, while the vivo X200 opts for a traditional periscope lens. vivo excels in close-up shots with a focusing distance of 20 cm, compared to OnePlus’s 50 cm, which makes vivo more suited for capturing subjects at close range without blurring.
However, vivo’s OIS can feel a bit shaky at 6X and beyond, and its telemacro capabilities are anything but exceptional, despite the better ultra-wide macro performance. If macros are your priority, vivo edges ahead.

On the other hand, OnePlus’s telemacro capabilities are non-existent and the ultra-wide/main crops macros are decent at best. The OnePlus AI zoom processing outshines vivo, giving you better “clarity and detail,” especially at longer zoom levels, beyond 6X.
For text clarity and detail retention, OnePlus is more reliable. vivo does slightly better in light control at lower zoom levels (3X), but its slower shutter response can lead to blurred shots in fast-paced situations. Also, the OnePlus does have occasional focusing issues with the 3X lens..Overall, the vivo is better in this regard.

Portraits and Edge Detection
Both phones excel at edge detection (there are some misses though), with vivo softening textures and skin tones slightly and OnePlus favoring natural skin tones and textures. vivo offers five focal lengths (23/35/50/85/100mm), and so does the OnePlus (23/35/48/73/85mm).
That said, Vivo doesn’t allow optical shooting at 70mm, which is limiting. For shooting portraits of moving subjects, OnePlus is better, thanks to its faster shutter and natural results. vivo does offer more options when it comes to the bokeh and styles though.

Camera App and Usability
The OnePlus camera app is more intuitive, offering easier access to modes like snapshot and smart scenes. vivo’s layout can feel all over the place, especially with features like Night mode being hidden in Landscape mode and the Snapshot mode being several swipes away.

OnePlus also integrates a “Master mode” for minimal processing and manual adjustments (contrast, sharpness, saturation), something vivo lacks. This is really great for those who prefer natural details and minimal processing with some control.

Selfies and Video
In selfies, OnePlus slightly edges ahead with more consistent results, although the vivo X200 offers decent quality. Both have a fixed focus but the OnePlus lets you shoot at 21mm and 25mm (0.8X and 1X) while vivo only sticks to 23mm.

For video, OnePlus is the clear winner, thanks to Dolby Vision HDR support, 4K 60 fps on all lenses (including the front), and better stabilization options across all lenses. The OnePlus can also shoot in 8K30, which the vivo lacks. vivo performs well but lacks the same polish or versatility.

Better Camera?
It’s hard to declare either a winner. Both phones offer solid camera systems, but the choice depends on your needs. vivo stands out in macros, more portrait options, while OnePlus excels in zoom clarity, video recording, and shutter speed. It also depends on whether you like ZEISS or Hasselblad’s tone.
OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Battery Life and Charging
The OnePlus 13 comes with a 6,000 mAh battery, while the vivo X200 features a slightly smaller 5,800 mAh capacity. In real-world usage, the OnePlus 13 consistently delivers better screen-on time, averaging 7–10 hours, compared to the vivo X200’s 7–7.5 hours, both under typical light to moderate usage.
Fast charging is another area where the OnePlus pulls ahead. It supports 100W wired charging, which can top up the battery in just 40 minutes, while also offering 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging.
The vivo X200 supports 90W wired charging and skips wireless charging entirely. The charging time is about 50 minutes for full charge. The omission of wireless charging feels outdated for a flagship-priced device.

Both phones use a USB-A power brick for charging and also support high-speed PD charging. In terms of long-term battery health, OnePlus includes features like Adaptive Charging and Battery Health Engine, which help slow degradation over time. The vivo also has similar features.
Wireless charging is a big win for the OnePlus, with compatibility across most Qi-certified pads and fast speeds. OnePlus has also launched its magnetic accesories, like the 50W AIRVOOC wireless charger cum cooler, 5,000 mAh battery pack, and magnetic cases.
vivo, unfortunately, offers no such convenience. The overall experience makes the OnePlus 13 a clear winner for those who prioritize battery performance and fast charging. This is not to say that the vivo is far behind, though. It offers excellent battery life, too.
OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Connectivity

Both the OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 offer robust network and connectivity support, ensuring fast and stable connections across various types of networks and services. For network support, both phones offer 4G LTE and 5G bands with carrier aggregation. The OnePlus 13 also support 5.5G (10X faster than 5G) but I haven’t been able to put that to test just yet.
When it comes to Wi-Fi, both the OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 support Wi-Fi 7, and I’ve had no issues with either. For Bluetooth, both phones come equipped with Bluetooth 5.4 but the OnePlus 13 has additional features like Backup Calling and Beacon Link which extends the range to several hundred meters with OnePlus devices.

In terms of NFC, both the OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 include NFC functionality at the back. GPS accuracy is top-notch on both devices. Both the OnePlus 13 and the vivo X200 have an IR blaster. Finally, both the OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 support dual-SIM functionality and eSIM.
OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Biometrics and Security

The OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 both feature under display fingerprint scanners, but both are very different. The OnePlus 13 has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner placed at the right position, while the vivo X200 has an optical scanner placed a little lower than ideal.
Both are swift in unlocking but the OnePlus 13 even works with wet and oily fingers, which is a plus. As for face unlock, both phones offer 2D facial recognition, which is nothing to write home about.
OnePlus 13 vs. vivo X200: Which One Should You Buy?
Parameter | OnePlus 13 | vivo X200 |
---|---|---|
Design | 8/10 | 9/10 |
Display & Speakers | 8.5/10 | 8.5/10 |
Biometrics | 8.8/10 | 8.5/10 |
Software | 8.2/10 | 8/10 |
Performance & Gaming | 8.5/10 | 8.3/10 |
Cameras | 8/10 | 9/10 |
Battery Life & Charging | 8.2/10 | 8/10 |
Overall | 8.3/10 | 8.5/10 |
When it comes to the pricing, the OnePlus 13 is priced slightly higher at ₹69,999 compared to the vivo X200 at ₹65,999 for their base storage/RAM (12/256 GB) variants. Bank offers should be applicable on both devices.
The OnePlus 13 and vivo X200 cater to slightly different audiences despite their similar pricing. The OnePlus 13 excels in performance, software, and multimedia experience, making it a more versatile choice for those who prioritize an all-rounder flagship.
On the other hand, the vivo X200 focuses on delivering an exceptional camera experience, particularly for portrait and macro photography, while maintaining a premium design and build.
Choosing between the two comes down to personal priorities. If you value performance, display quality, and software polish, the OnePlus 13 is the better pick. If camera versatility, in-hand comfort, and natural ZEISS tuning matter more, the vivo X200 is a worthy contender. Which one would you pick and why? Let me know in the comments section below.
And if you are looking for other alternatives, you could consider the OPPO Find X8 (review) or wait for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 series.

Wow I really liked the article. I have x200 its awesome phone. I thing I found is that if you hide an app, it crashes to open such as imobile. Earlier I had xiaomi which worked fine.
