As tipped last week, we have just got some more details and teasers about the upcoming OnePlus 11 Special Edition model. Slated to launch on March 29th, the special edition is dubbed the OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition and it has been under development for over a year now.
Talking about the special edition, OnePlus said that the OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition arrives with a self-developed back cover process. Each of the units is different from another in many ways than one. Made up of microcrystalline rock, OnePlus developed a new production process to bring the new material onboard a smartphone.
OnePlus said that the new process comes with a production efficiency of 25% of the glass and a 50% of yield rate compared to that of glass backs. Each of the units has been hand-picked and these units have a different texture and feel to it. For the unversed, unlike other limited edition smartphones, each unit of the OnePlus 11 Jupiter Rock Limited Edition is different in look, feel and the Jupiter-inspired texture on it making the units unique.
The Chinese smartphone is all set to launch the Jupiter Rock Limited Edition on March 29 at 14:30 Beijing time on Wednesday. It is likely to stick to the same specifications as the of OnePlus 11 5G. Additionally, there’s a possibility that it will arrive in China only given the fact that the brand’s global social media accounts haven’t teased the upcoming limited edition at the moment.
