The launch date of Nothing Phone (1) is inching closer day by day. As the launch gets nearer, we are getting to know more about the specs, features, price, availability, and other aspects of the device. The latest buzz is that the smartphone will come with an under-display fingerprint sensor and an ultrawide angle camera lens.

Nothing Phone (1) Rumors and leaks

Nothing posted a 12-second long teaser video on TikTok showcasing Nothing phone (1) in-display fingerprint sensor in action. Previously, there were some rumours suggesting that Nothing phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. With this teaser video, Nothing has cleared the air that its first smartphone will be equipped with an under-display fingerprint sensor.

The company has already confirmed that Nothing Phone (1) will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 788+ chipset and have a 120Hz refresh rate display. It has also been confirmed that the smartphone will be manufactured in India. Nothing has already revealed the first look of the device. Leaks claim that the Nothing Phone (1) will sport a 6.55-inch OLED display panel with Gorilla Glass protection. It is expected to run Android 12 and has 45W fast charging support as well. and an ultrawide angle camera lens. Reports claim that Nothing Phone (1) will have a 50MP main lens at the back.

To get you up to speed, Nothing Phone 1 is all set to launch on July 12 via a virtual event called ‘Return to Instinct’ at 8.30 PM IST. The smartphone was recently up for pre-order via Flipkart for a token amount of Rs. 2000. It could be done via Pre-order pass and the amount was refundable in case the consumer decides not to buy the device.
