Realme X50 5G With Snapdragon 765G SoC and Custom Realme UI Announced

Following a trail of leaks and rumors, the Realme X50 5G is finally official. Realme’s first 5G phone is based on Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 765G chipset that comes with an integrated 5G modem. 

Of course, there’s a lot more to Realme X50 5G than just being the first 5G phone.

Realme X50 5G Specs and Features

The Realme X50 5G features a 6.57-inch IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. As was pointed out in the rumors previously, it has a dual punch-hole selfie camera that houses a 16MP primary sensor and an ultrawide 8MP sensor for groupies.

On the flip side, Realme X50 5G continues with brand’s quad-camera addiction. The quad-camera setup includes a Samsung labeled 64MP f/1.8 primary sensor, 12MP telephoto sensor, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro setup. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also a first for Realme.

The Realme X50 5G comes with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The phone lacks a MicroSD card support. In terms of connectivity, the Realme X50 5G supports both SA and NSA dual-mode networks for better 5G coverage. It supports n1, n41, n78, n79 5G bands.

Realme X50 also debuts the Realme UI which is based on Oppo’s ColorOS 7. The new UI claims to offer features like authentic design, personalized custom icons, Quantum animation engine, dark mode, focus mode, dual-mode music sharing, Realme Pay and lot more.

The Realme X50 price for the Chinese market starts at 2,499 Yuan which on conversation comes around Rs 25,800. The top-end version with 12GB RAM with 256GB ROM costs 2,999 Yuan or approx. Rs 30,900.

Alleged Realme X50 5G Spec Sheet Leaked

A tipster by the name, Bad review emperor drew a comparison between the X50 and the Oppo Reno 3. According to it, Realme X50 will sport a 6.67-inch full-HD+ panel with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and p2i hydrophobic coating on top. The 2.5D glass will form a 3D curve by the edge, similar to a few other phones of recent times. 

Inside, there is going to be Snapdragon 765, something which we already knew. This will be roomed with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage. Plus, you may get a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. 

The camera arrangement will apparently include a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor accompanied by a 13-megapixel 5x hybrid zoom telephoto lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. And while the rear houses a quad setup, the frontier is going to accommodate a duo. So, the selfies will be courtesy of a 32-megapixel plus an 8-megapixel setup. 

Amongst other things, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are probably in the mix.

Realme X50 5G To Debut Before January 25

Realme X50 5G launch date could be closer than you think. At least that’s what Realme product manager Wang Derek suggested on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. As per his comment on Weibo, the Realme X50 5G will be announced before the Spring Festival in China. A fan inquired him about the possibility of120Hz display on the Realme X50 he came up a cheeky response without dropping any hint.

New Alleged Realme X50 5G Renders Shows Up With Quad Rear Camera Setup


A new render has emerged on the web claiming to be the Realme X50 – an upcoming 5G phone from Oppo spin-off brand. The allegedly render reveals almost everything about the Realme X50 design.

While Realme hasn’t officially commented on its authenticity, but the teaser does suggest dual selfie cameras on the front similar to the official teaser image. There’s a vertically stacked quad-camera setup at the back including a periscope sensor in a square-shaped cutout. The LeaksFactory render also suggest an in-display fingerprint sensor on the front.

Realme X50 5G Snapdragon 765G SoC Confirmed

The year 2020 is going to be all about 5G. At least, that’s what all the noise around that we are hearing at the dusk of 2019 suggests. Realme too has joined the 5G fray and is already teasing its first 5G phone, the Snapdragon 765G-powered Realme X50.

Qualcomm recently announced the Snapdragon 765G SoC which is a 5G chip supporting both SA and NSA 5G modes. Realme has become the third brand following Xiaomi and Oppo to launch a phone based on the Snapdragon 700-series 5G chipset.

The octa-core Qualcomm chip is based on Kryo 475 cores which are clocked up to 2.3GHz. earlier, Realme teased the X50 with a pill-shaped dual punch-hole display similar to Samsung Galaxy S10+ (review).

Realme X50 Rumored Specs

As per the recent Realme X50 5G related rumors and leaks, the phone could feature a 90Hz S-AMOLED display supporting full HD+ resolution. Rumor has it that it will be available in 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB storage options.

Realme will continue with the quad-camera trend in 2020 and is likely to feature a 64MP Sony IMX686 led rear camera setup where other sensors are likely to be an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Rumors also suggest a combination of a 32MP sensor and an 8MP wide-angle lens for selfies. Realme could pack a 4,500mAh battery with Super VOOC 4.0 fast-charging support.
