It’s already September! It seems as though the year is moving at a rapid pace, each day is simply dragging ahead. Does this make sense to you, or just us? I thought I’d give you a little taste of what to expect this month, as we spend another month at home.
Considering the present pandemic, we have been relying on OTT platforms for our daily dose of entertainment.

The month of September 2021 will be filled with many exciting web series and feature films. With these intriguing web series and movies, you will never get bored. You may want to mark these movie and web series release dates in September 2021 if you enjoy binge-watching.

Here’s a list of exciting content you can watch in September.

1. Mumbai Diaries 26/11

Mumbai’s 26/11 terror attacks have been one of the deadliest acts of terrorism in history. Mumbai Diaries 26/11, which is a fictional show based on the incident that shook the nation, offers an insight into a hospital dealing with injured victims and casualties.

The thriller drama shows what happened when terrorists wreaked havoc in Mumbai. The series depicts what the silent warriors (police officers, medics, journalists, etc.) faced while in the line of fire that day. Through the talents of Mohit Raina, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Shreya Dhanwanthary, among others, this series pays tribute to those unsung heroes of that horrific night.

2. Crime Stories: India Detectives

The documentary series focuses on the Bengaluru police investigating four major crimes. Several scenes on the show follow the police as they examine crime scenes and deal with the bereaved. This series will keep you on the edge of your seat if you are a fan of true crime.

3. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is based on a Marvel Comics martial arts superhero. This movie marks the 25th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Starring Simu Liu in the role of Shang-Chi along with Tony Leung as the Mandarin, the film is directed and co-written by Destin Daniel Cretton. In order to solve the mystery surrounding the mysterious terrorist group Ten Rings, the superhero must confront both his past and the mysterious events that occur. Uncover the secrets of Shang Chi and admire his superpowers in this Marvel Studios film.

4. Black Widow

Black Widow, the much-anticipated Marvel Studios film, will finally be released in India on February 8. In addition to English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, Disney+ Hotstar has released this action-packed spy thriller on September 3. Scarlett Johansson plays Black Widow, the 24th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

As the story unfolds, Natasha Romanoff has to contend with darker aspects of her ledger, which are linked to a dangerous conspiracy from her past. Her past and strained relationships are not the only problems she deals with in dealing with a force bent on bringing her down. Black Widow’s ambiguous psychological journey will be revealed in the upcoming movie.

5. Cinderella

Cinderella, the Amazon Original film premiered on September 3 on Prime Video.

Kay Cannon directs the movie, featuring Grammy-nominated singer Camila Cabello in her acting debut. Along with Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan, the London-American romantic musical comedy also stars Idina Menzel, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Richard Gere.

The film is unlike any of the fairy tale Cinderellas that you have seen so far. In this original movie, the fair maiden wishes to become a businesswoman rather than marry the prince, and she is prepared to work hard to accomplish her goals. Witness the much-needed twist in this all-time classic fairy tale.

6. Money Heist Part 5

Netflix’s most-anticipated web series Money Heist Part 5 is now streaming on Netflix. So, what will happen to the Professor in this season (after being held at gunpoint by Sierra at the end of the last part of Money Heist aka La Casa de Papel)? Will his gang be able to come out alive of the Royal Mint of Spain? Watch the next part of the popular Spanish heist crime drama that is expected to keep the excitement going. Three new characters will make an entry in this volume of Part 5, which will be released in two volumes this year.

7. Sex Education Season 3

The third season of Sex Education, which will launch on Netflix on September 17, is also around the corner. Season three is sure to be just as intriguing as seasons one and two, with new twists and a new character played by a prominent name in Hollywood. Suppose Maeve learns that Otis left her a voicemail, but Isaac deleted it before she heard it. In that case, it will be interesting to see what she does about it.

Otis recorded a voicemail confessing his feelings for Maeve, but unfortunately, she couldn’t listen to it because Issac deletes it. It will be interesting to see whether Maeve finds out or if she remains in the dark.

With everyone rooting for Otis and Maeve, there were significant character developments in the previous seasons, particularly Adam’s. It will be interesting to see how he deals with discovering his bisexuality and his relationship with Eric.

8. Lucifer Season 6

Starting September 10, Netflix will stream the sixth season of Lucifer.

Despite being brutally murdered in the previous season, the titular Devil survives for the final season. While Lucifer’s final season will reveal the mystery of his death, it will also follow how he will handle his new position as the next God after replacing his father. On Netflix, Amenadiel will be addressing both the BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement and his decision to become a police officer. Also, in this final season of Lucifer, the demonic couple – Deckerstar fans are in for quite a treat.

9. Kota Factory 2

Jitendra Kumar (Jeetu Bhaiyya) and his students are back to show you what happens in IIT coaching centers in Kota. The show’s premiere season saw Vaibhav (Mayur More) shift from the Prodigy to Maheshwari coaching classes. He will have to navigate the world of competitive exams and make a few life-changing decisions in this season.

10. Candy

This thriller series stars Richa Chadha and Ronit Roy and is set in the mountains of Rudrakand. A young boy who is murdered in the area is believed to have been killed by a supernatural being. The trailer of the show shows an intriguing tale about teenagers, drugs, and strange events that happen in the forests of Rudrakand. Here’s could be a murder mystery series you’re waiting for!
