Nanoleaf announces new smart lighting for TVs, ceilings, and self-learning smart switches.

Nanoleaf unveiled its 2023 line of smart lighting solutions, including accessories that work with Matter. The Nanoleaf 4D TV Smarter kit, Skylight, and the Nala Learning Bridge, which essentially serves as a hub bringing all of its products together, are the three most notable of the numerous new items unveiled. The company says that most of the lighting firm’s panels (Shapes, Elements, Canvas, and Lines) will be Matter upgradeable later this year.

Nanoleaf 4D TV Smarter kit

The Nanoleaf 4D TV Smarterkit is a system that mimics your TV screen’s colors onto a Nanoleaf lighting panel. It is one of the new products being introduced at CES 2023. The Nanoleaf 4D TV Starter Kit will come in two sizes: one for TVs between 55 and 65 inches in size and the other for TVs between 65 and 85 inches.

The light strip employs Nanoleaf’s revolutionary Sync+ technology to replicate what’s happening on screen and has 50 programmable zones, allowing you to customize lighting around your screen completely.

The package includes a camera that syncs the lighting and may be positioned above or below your TV screen. If you already own any of Nanoleaf lights, you’ll be happy to know that mirroring will function properly throughout your whole setup. Therefore, you can have a highly dynamic lighting experience if you already have Nanoleaf lights in your viewing area.

Nanoleaf Skylight and Sense Plus Switches

The Nanoleaf Skylight is a brand-new ceiling-mounted lighting device that essentially functions as a skylight, illuminating any space with up to 3,000 lumens.

It is made up of square LED panels that appear thicker than the company’s other lighting panels and, if necessary, can sync with the sound.

Additionally, the Skylight has light and motion sensors that may be used to turn off the system when no one is around shrewdly.

Another recent and significant addition to Nanoleaf’s line of devices for the home is Sense Plus Switches.

These hardwired switches, like the Skylight, are Matter-enabled and equipped with built-in motion and ambient light sensors. The Sense Plus Smart Light Switch is another physical switch that tracks usage patterns and allows users to turn off lights manually. The wireless gives the same functions but wirelessly, and because it can be removed from the wall-mounted holder, it may be used as a remote control.

Nanoleaf Nala Learning Bridge hub

Nala Learning Bridge bub is the brain of this entire system and has built-in motion and ambient light sensors along with color-changing night light.  Its Matter-based hub also serves as a Thread Border Router, enabling you to link the lighting network to the internet and your phone. Since the hub is where all the learning takes place and enables the smart switches to turn on and off automatically, it’s one of the most crucial components if you decide to go with a Nanoleaf home lighting arrangement.

Although Nanoleaf has not formally disclosed the costs of its recently announced products, we may anticipate that they will be available in some markets. The business states that the Sense Plus Controls and Skylight will be available in Q3 2023, while the Nanoleaf 4D TV Smarter kit will be available in Q2 2023.
