Redmi unveils Smart TV X 2022 with 120Hz refresh rate & Dolby Vision support

Redmi -Xiaomi’s sub-brand, has revealed its new range of Smart TVs called the Smart TV X 2022 in China this week. The Smart TV X 2022 range has 2 display models- 55-inch and 65-inch. It builds on the success of its previous generations in the country.

Redmi Smart TV X 2022 Specs

The Redmi Smart TV X is designed to be an all-metal-full-screen TV while having a full-array backlight panel. As mentioned above, it comes in 2 sizes- 55-inch and 65-inch and the panels are rated at 4K with 3840×2160 pixel resolution, with a distinctive refresh rate of 120Hz.

The panel has a response time of 6.5ms, 10-bit color gamut, and support for 94% P3 color gamut. It also supports FreeSync and Dolby Vision. These TVs have good hardware too. It uses 22nm octa-core MediaTek MTK 9650 same as the one in Xioami MiTV Master Edition.

The MediaTek MTK 9650 consists of an A73 1.5GHz CPU and a Mali-G52 2EE MC1 GPU paired with 3GB and 32GB internal storage. The TV delivers up to 1T of AI computing power and supports AI-PQ, AI-AQ intelligent audio, and picture adjustment.

In the sound department, it has 4 speakers, 2 air ducts, and a sealed box with a 2×0.38L large sound cavity that gives a combined output capacity of 2×12.5W. The Redmi Smart TV X supports Dolby Atmos and has 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 1 AV, 1 ATV, 2 USB interfaces, 1 PDIF, 1 RJ-45, and 4 microphones to support far-field voice.

The price of the Redmi Smart TV X 2022 starts at RMB 2999 (Rs. 35,136 approx.) for the 55-inch model and RMB 3499 (Rs. 40,985 approx.) for the 65-inch model. TVs are currently up for pre-orders through JD.com, Xiaomi mall Xiaomi Youpin in the China market and their shipping will start on October 31st. Rumors suggest that the TVs could be launched in India too in the near future.
